Perfect Base in Alamogordo

The house is just lovely and has lots of amenities. There are wireless chargers, smart TV, Alexa and - most important - coffee choices. Keurig or drip. Lots of space and that reclining sofa was heaven after a day of hiking! The lighting was great, the beds are comfy and the kitchen is mostly well stocked - more spoons please. :-) Kristi was easy to contact with questions and very responsive. Would stay here again!

Wonderful stay

Prior to arrival and during our stay communication with the owner was great. We found the cottage to be more than we expected. Its very roomy and very comfortable, with plenty of outdoor space with seating in front and back. Other than some groceries, the cottage provided everything we needed and then some. Covered off street parking was available and we found the neighborhood to be quiet. We would enjoy staying here again when in the area.

Comfortable, Clean and Convenient

We enjoyed our stay in this home. It is nicely appointed and had everything we needed. Beds were very comfortable. It was close to the Space Museum and White Sands.

Nice place to stay in Alamogordo

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This is an older home but plenty of amenities. Beds are comfortable, loved having a washer and dryer. It was nice after a day of hiking to collapse in the recliners in the living room. Nice to have a dishwasher as we did cook meals. Loved morning coffee on the front porch rockers. We didn’t use it much but there is a nice enclosed back patio.

Wonderful place to stau

Very comfortable, fit us perfectly. Neighborhood was quiet, close to essentials for groceries and such, kitchen well provided, place was immaculate and well maintained. We really felt at home. Will definitely be our home for our trip next year.

White Sands and Alamogordo With Friends

Two bedroom/ two bath lived up to all our expectations and more. A perfect homebase for seeing the area and hanging out with friends. Already planning on returning!

Great place to stay!

This 1940s house was perfect for our needs. The location is in the original settlement of Alamogordo. It was clean, quaint yet with modern internet, TV, etc. Our host, Kristi, was great. We would return to this property.

Charming Home

This is such a sweet house! We had a wonderful stay - so comfortable - so well decorated - and so many thoughtful amenities provided! Only about a 20-minute drive to White Sands National Park - we wish we could have stayed longer and would definitely stay again!

This is a great place!

The house is large, kitchen was really stocked with condiments and goodies. Great spots to sit outside and drink coffee in the back yard or porch. Beds are comfortable as is the furniture. Everything was squeaky clean.

Loved the house!!

The yard needed mowing and the plants and trees were neglected. The house was cozy and well taken care of. Will definitely return.

Home is comfortable but in bad area on very busy street. Yard was unkept with grass unmowed and 2 ft. high.

Perfect stay!

We had a phenomenal time at John & Kristi's property in Alamogordo. As someone who cooks a lot, I was so grateful for all of the supplies & gadgets available in the kitchen - beyond anything I've had access to at a rental in the past. Additionally, the beds & bedding were comfortable. Abundant, soft towels. Great laundry appliances. They have thought of everything to make you comfortable! We enjoyed eating dinner outside on the back patio every night & breakfast in the morning at the dining room table. Just a very cozy home, very nicely laid out & absolutely perfect for us! The location is great - close to grocery stores & shops & some fun things to do in town. Just 17 minutes from White Sands National Park & 30 minutes to some of the Lincoln National Forest hikes. We hope to be able to stay here again in the future & highly recommend it to others!

Great stay!

Really nice property, house and location. Everything as expected. Very clean. Kitchen well stocked, with unexpected items available - granola bars, pancake mix. Also mints, butterscotch drops, bottled water. Lovely property!

Wonderful property

This property is a little gem - and a refreshing change from ultra-modern rentals. The property was spotlessly clean, everything worked and the original floors were superb. It may look a little grubby outside, but it is in a dusty and windy environment. Book it and you will not be disappointed.

Cute, cozy, clean and centrally located

We stayed here for a week while visiting many different areas in SW and Central NM. It was a good location to take day trips to places like Las Cruces, Roswell and the Trinity site. The home is tastefully decorated, clean, comfortable and well stocked. The back yard is cute and we were encouraged to use some of the herbs and veggies that were ripe for pickin. There was plenty of room for four to sleep (a master and spare room) and to also dine and lounge. Pretty much any store you need is just a few minutes away. Overall is a cute house that has been up-kept and is a good central location to explore southern New Mexico from. We would stay here again.

Such a cute home to stay in when you're traveling. It was so much space, had nice, extra touches, and loved the outdoor space for coffee in the morning. Would definitely stay again!

Very fast and cheerful host response to questions

Wonderful ten day stay at this property which has everything and more. Charming historical and tastefully decorated home with plentry of yard space where we picked delicious apples and a great number of cherry tomatoes to enjoy while cooking in the well stocked kitchen. Central air conditioning worked beautifully.

Charming Cottage

Lovely updated 1940s house. Loved the white paneled doors and glass door knobs on the front door. Lots of charm throughout and tastefully furnished and decorated. Welcoming touches like fresh cut flowers, chocolates, and coffee. Plenty of room, comfortable King bed, plenty of towels, hot water, kitchen fully equipped and everything very clean. Most importantly, I felt very safe. The home is fully fenced, private patio area. Great for our dogs. Located in a quiet family neighborhood. Kristi & John we’re nice and responsive. Location convenient to everything, ie. Holloman AFB, White Sands, restaurants, Pistachio farms & Wineries. Also, near Lowe’s Market which has everything from groceries to a bar with live entertainment! I highly recommend this property and would stay again.

Practically perfect in every way

Charming home in a perfect location. Plenty of room for hosting family during our visit. Clean, quiet and full of little touches that made our stay extra special. Alexa, phone chargers, smart TV, extra linens and even some food items were available for use. Our granddaughter especially loved the Disney+ subscription and affectionately named the house “casita.” The beds were comfortable and we never ran out of hot water 😊 The hosts were just at text away when we had a question. We would recommend this property to anyone visiting Alamogordo and plan to stay here again in the future!
