Welcome to our mountain Chalet, nestled in the trees, where the sweet melodies of bird singing fill the air, bugling elk echo through the valley. This updated, two bedrooms, two bath cabin offers a perfect retreat for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. Surrounded by towering pines, quaking aspens, and breathtaking mountains, Birds of a Feather provides an moment from the hustle and bustle of everyday life without sacrificing convenience to the Village of Cloudcroft.
Whether you are relaxing on the choice of two decks, listening to the symphony of songbirds or exploring the nearby trails to catch a glimpse of regal views; Birds of a Feather provides the perfect location to immerse yourself in the beauty of the great outdoors and surrounding area. Birds known to the area are Steller Jays, Mountain Chickadee, Tanager, Hummingbirds, and Evening Grosbeak.
Experience Cloudcroft like a local with close proximity, two miles from the Village, from Hwy #130 past Sunspot Hwy; with plenty of parking, maneuvering area. Small RV concrete pad with 220v electric hookup, level parking for motorcycles, small trailers, fenced yard for your fur babies.
Primary Bedroom with Ensuite Bath is entire upstairs level featuring a private deck, stocked coffee/cocktail bar for your convenience, with a luxurious King bed. The Downstairs Bedroom features a cozy, Queen bed, and convenient bath near, guests will feel right at home. Offered is a quaint full Kitchen and BBQ grill for all your families' meal needs, lots of indoor and outdoor games, curl up and read a book, take a hike, the choices are endless. Tons of hiking and riding trails are within easy reach. An Outdoor Firepit invites the evening star gazing to finish the days' adventures. You're sure to make fantastic memories with a stay at our place.

We very much enjoyed our stay here at Birds of a Feather, our pup especially! Unlimited porch space to gather the forest views, and plenty of room for our pup to wander. We will definitely be booking this again. Kelly was very quick to return messages and check in whenever possible.

It was a nice, cozy, and clean cabin, but it was not as advertised. It turned out to be a complete bust. I was looking for a cabin with indoor and outdoor fire place, and an outdoor grill. This cabin advertised these amenities, but none of those feature worked. When communicating with the host her responses were rude and unhelpful. She had stated she would be being a propane tank the next day, but never did. I had to purchase my own. Wash and dryer did not work either. I would consider other options in the Cloudcroft area.

The balcony view could have been better. Could see deer and elk across the valley, but had to do it through the branches of the trees. My kids loved the bird watching!

Very cute home. We enjoyed our stay. We had a few issues but the host was very responsive and resolved the problems quickly. The only con is that the home has a mothball and dog smell that takes a little while to get used to.

We had a great stay at this cabin. The owner sent reminders prior to arrival and night before checkout. She also texted check-ins during my stay. The location was great only 2 minutes to village and the place was clean. I highly recommend.

Meeting Old Friends

This is a beautiful cabin and quite cozy. It’s nothing fancy, but very nice, clean and comfortable. The host, Kelly, was the best host ever! Communication was great. She provided extra special amenities that were very much appreciated. Three couples (one couple in a RV) met there to reminisce about old times when we all lived on the coast of California. Wonderful memories in a special place.

Everything was fine with the exception of the noise made by the construction company across the street early in the morning. I don't remember seeing a photo of this in the listing.

This was the best house we have stayed in by far The host communicated with me almost daily before I got there we had welcome drinks and snacks on the bed waiting for us and the beds were very comfortable plus you get a bonus in the bathroom a walk in jacuzzi that was very nice after a long day of work

Much needed get away

We were needing a quiet get away from the heat and everyday hustle. Very clean, well stocked, cozy cabin. Loved that we could bring our dog with us and enjoy our time. There was a fire near and our host kept us informed and checked on us. Very thoughtful and we appreciated the heads up.

We had such a wonderful stay at this charming mountain cabin! From the moment we walked in, we felt incredibly welcomed. The thoughtful touches—like the card, bottled water, and cookies on the bed—were so sweet and really set the tone for a relaxing getaway.One of the standout features for our family was the walk-in tub, which was perfect for my parents. It made their stay so much more comfortable and enjoyable. My dad especially loved the cozy chair out front—he spent hours just sitting there, soaking in the peacefulness and beauty of the mountains. I have lived in Ruidoso, NM for forty plus years and been visiting to Cloudcroft forever. Finally, my dreams have come true to have a place to escape my busy life of Ruidoso and getaway to the peace and quiet of Cloudcroft. Just forty miles from Ruidoso, it is a great escape for us and hope it is for you also. We can't always be there with our busy lives, so we want others to experience this fabulous property. We love the great outdoors and New Mexico, so hiking, dirt biking, 4 wheelin, and grillin are our favs and this spot captures the outdoors with a convenience that can't be matched. Reading a book to the rain on the metal roof, is the best relax, promise. We like adding a special touch to our properties and try to think of all the things you might need for that picture perfect vacation. Ask about our other places available to rent in the area. Please remember to pack it in, pack it out while in our gorgeous state.
Cash, the trail dog and I, hope to see on the trail real soon....

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

This Modified Aframe Cabin sits on three lots so has privacy and space to be outside and enjoy the areas nature. The location is convenient, 2 miles from Cloudcroft proper and close from the highway (#130) with a fairly level road and driveway area/metal shop is great for our motorcycles when other properties where not accessible. Ask in advance for usage for motor or RV. The RV concrete pad is a bonus with 220v electric outlet for usage.
We love our neighbors, the circle loop of Aspen to walk our dog and the proximity to Cloudcroft.

この宿泊施設の特徴

The bird watching from this property with the higher back deck is fantastic and a special spot. We see and hear many animals, elk, deer, ducks, geese, donkey, wild horses; and often roaming cow, lol. The property was extensively remodeled from the original date and makes it much more modern. The bathroom counters remain to be replaced but basically everything else is updated and modern. No smelly, old cabin here.
I love the privacy found in the Primary Bedroom to the downstairs, with the coffee/bar station, we can enjoy slow mornings and easy sunsets. The guest downstairs can do the same with the lower deck. Gives everyone space to be together but allows for space to relax and have quiet moments. Of course, the location makes for a great run to Cloudcroft and easily back if you want a change of scenery. Close to trails, Sunspot, and skiiing.
