Teri is a terrific host. Very responsive to your queries. The suite is well equipped for a very comfortable stay. La Marina is a quiet property with mostly long term residents who are very welcoming. The property offers an in house restaurant with delicious and moderately priced meals. Great location for those who love beach walking.

Staff and other guests made our stay very special. However the dirty condition of the condo, the lack of maintenace, curtains that didnt open or close, window screens that no longer could sit in their tracks, pots without handles, old aluminum dented pots, wooden utensils and boards covered in black mould, dirty dishes put in cuboard, not a king bed but 2 twins pushed together with sheets that didnt fit, threadbare towels that should have been used as rags were the final straw - i contracted ringworm requiring medical attention.When mentioned about the dirty dishes,the only comment from the owner was that it was up to the previous tenants.

It could be a bit noisy being by the main area of elevators or to pool/ beach areas so people talk & you could hear everything with doors closed.

Great beach although windy disappointed that hot tub was not functioning.

Great location within building. Had to utilize cabs as water taxi was not available. Would recommend that owner update new shower head and utensils.

Our stay

The room was clean, We had trouble with the TV, The hot tube wasn't working for 7 days. The lock on the front door was rusted so we could not use it. Other then that we had a good time. The live tv came back on after the second power outage. The room wasn't cleaned by anyone while we were there.

September stay

It was clean and basic accommodations but needs some up dating. No drinking water available and water store at hotel was always closed. Had to taxi and haul our own water. Very loud with construction daily Monday through Saturday starting at 8am to 6:30 -7pm with drilling and hammering. No basic things like dish soap, not enough toilet paper or garbage bags…. Electricity wiring of the unit was not all working and looked like a fire with a couple burnt outlets was kinda scary. Communication with the owner was appropriate but did not share there was construction. Had to leave unit every day too loud.

Hi Carrie. The water in our building is filtered for drinking and the store in the building also carries large water bottles for the water dispenser we have. The front desk which is open seven days a week is happy to get you access to anything you need in the store even if the store isn't open and in fact is more than happy to help you with anything and answer any questions you have. We had the electrician in our building look at our wiring and all they could see were some old cable tv wires that are no longer used that are behind the curtain in the living room. All of our electrical is in good working order. As we communicated, May to September is the construction season in Mazatlan as it is low season. No construction is allowed between October and the end of April in our building. Unfortunately, your visit was at the beginning of September when there may be construction noise in our building and throughout the city. Our reviews most often talk about our peaceful oceanfront setting and the wonderful staff and amenities in our building which we are very proud of.

Beautiful, relaxing, fun setting. Beachside and steps to the pool and clay tennis courts. This building is an oasis of beauty and fun. Set on a huge beachfront property it has lots of greenspace, gardens, terraces and areas to relax in and enjoy.

For those booking in the summer months from May to the end of September, it is construction season in Mazatlan so there may be construction in our building or the buildings around it during the day. October through April there is no construction.

The building is on a beautiful quiet sandy beach. You can walk for miles down the beach or on the sidewalk. Close to the busy Golden Zone but tucked away on a quiet beachfront street.
