There was no water and no electricity since the day we got there, Thursday, December 24th around 6pm until at least Saturday afternoon when we left and had to stay at a hotel. We could not shower, flush the toilets, or make any of the food we brought. We were stuck bundled up during all of Christmas, eating cold sandwiches in 10 degree weather under a flashlight we luckily brought.
I really hope that no other family goes through the horrible experience that we went through not having electricity or water from the day we got in, plus no one to contact and/or no call back from the “emergency” number left at the cabin to call. The temperature at the lowest was 10 degrees outside and made it really cold inside the cabin. Maybe a generator would be nice for your renters so it can be used when something like this happens.
This was due to a snowstorm. We were left there with no one to call, no electricity and no water, they gave an EMERGENCY number to call, we left several messages and no one ever called back until Saturday to apologize for not calling back but never asked if everyone was ok or if we needed anything.
We had reservations until Monday and had to leave on Saturday due to the super, super cold temperature inside the cabin and not to forget that we had no water either. My mom and Dad (who are significantly older) were with me and I stated on one of the voice mails that I was unable to keep them inside that cold cabin without heater.. STILL NO ONE CARED AND NO CALL BACK..
Worse experience ever..!!! Will NOT recommend to use this HEARTLAND CABIN RENTAL, THEY ARE THE WORST WHEN IT COMES TO EMERGENCIES AND TAKING CARE OF THEIR RENTERS.
