Positives:
- The cabin has 3 bedrooms, each with a large bed (Queen or King) and a nearby bathroom, so it can accommodate 3 couples very comfortably. The bedrooms are all on separate floors so everyone had as much privacy as they wanted.
- The cabin was absolutely spotless and very welcoming when we moved in. Kudos to the cleaning crew!
- The mountain view from the back porch was wonderful.
- The cabin is only about 10 minutes from walmart, ingles, and the Blue Ridge restaurants.
- Check-in was a breeze: We just had to punch in a code and unlock the front door.
- Check-out was also super-easy. In particular, I appreciate that we could leave all our trash in the container outside when we left. I've stayed in other cabins where you have to haul your trash to a dump 20 minutes away when you leave.
Negatives:
- As is true with most mountain cabins, the road to the cabin was a bit treacherous to navigate in our minivan. The road was definitely not the worst I've seen, just a bit narrow and bumpy. Fortunately, you're only on the dirt road for about a mile so it isn't too bad. Plus, these roads tend to be the price you pay for the nice mountain views, and it was definitely worth that price.
- This criticism is perhaps directed more at VRBO's lack of pricing transparency rather than a problem unique to this particular cabin: The "price per day" listed by VRBO for the cabin was WAY lower than the actual price we paid for each day. The actual price we paid contained so many additional fees and taxes on top of the daily rental rate that the actual price per day was about 50% higher than price listed on the website. This cabin was worth the price we ultimately paid for it, but I much prefer to know the actual cost that I'll be paying up front.
Overall: A great cabin that is very professionally managed. I would definitely stay here again.
