Nice Place

Nice, quiet neighborhood. The place met our needs, nothing fancy but I don't need that. The beds were super comfortable. Cute little brush bunnies all around also.

It was quiet and clean. The A/C worked well. Is was 60 degrees when we arrived. They had all amenities we needed. All the drains were very slow in the main bathroom.

Comfortable and affordable

Lots of room. We stayed here with our family of 6 for 4 days. Loved having separate & communal areas to gather in. Several bunnies in the neighborhood were fun to watch. It's a bit loud outside with airplanes, boat/car motors and trains, but it's background noise. We enjoyed walking in the grass around the house and watching the sunset every evening.

Lodging for work

This place worked well for our needs, our group of 3 used this place as lodging while out of town working in Tacoma. The drive to and from work was fairly smooth (approximately 30 minutes), the location of this place provided a quiet place to rest. (2) of us worked nights so we were sleeping during the daytime hours, many times its difficult finding lodging to accommodate daytime sleeping. Having a waher & dryer available to wash laundry was a huge plus.

Nice property - has issues

This property was rented through VRBO, but Vacasa did all of the contact and management of the rental. The house was very pretty, was in a very quiet setting and could be a very nice rental. However, upon arriving it had a number of big issues. The furnace was not functioning at all the first several days and it was below freezing at night. The second day they brought me some space heaters to help with the cold, but they overloaded the fuse box and it was hidden in such a way as to be near impossible to find and had half the house with no power for a day and a half. The fire stove is completely non functional so that was unable to be used to help the situation. There was a decent sized ant problem even though it was winter, and some mice in the walls making chewing noises near the bath tub which was very off putting. If the owner of the property took time to get the home ready for winter and address issues, this could be a perfect little rental. Vacasa offered me a refund of some fees for having no heat for the first several days, however after a month and a half of asking multiple members, no one seems willing to or able to process this refund. Sadly, I have to give it a poor rating overall due to the issues and I did everything in my power to be understanding that things happen, but the follow through on the refund for my efforts was the final bad experience.

Mediocre weekend getaway

The house and property itself was nice. I liked the open floor plan and lots of space outside with neighbors spread out. However, there were a few things that made this trip less than perfect. Firstly- and this bothered me the most, the kitchen had a horrible ant problem. Multiple times every single day there would be ants swarming all counter tops, even with no food out and clean countertops. To make this matter worse, we were only left with 1.5 paper towel rolls, which we used very quickly having to constantly kill ants and clean the countertops all weekend. Also, after our stay, I just went and read reviews on the property and a number of people complained about the ants over a year ago and multiple vascasa members replied saying the house has been exterminated, and that is just not true. There was no actual household cleaning supplies, only a very very small amount of dish soap. The handle on some of the frying pans in the kitchen were broken, there wasn’t a spatula, or anything really to cook with (there was only garlic powder and a very small amount of pepper). We were left with only one extra trash bag (we were there for 3 nights), and all 3 of the trash containers outside were full to the brim upon our arrival, leaving us with no room to dispose our trash. One of the bed frames in one of the smaller rooms was completely broken, and in the master bathroom, the pan (floor) of the shower was cracked in two places which didn’t feel safe when showering.

Great place, inside of house feels new and spacious!

Lots of parking, lots of giant wild bunnies just chilling in the grass, fairly private spot, house quality inside is excellent, much bigger inside than it looks from outside.

Nice property, needs some minor details fixed.

Overall our stay was very nice. The house was clean and roomy. We were unable to find any paper towels or trash bags. There was no trash bag in the can when we arrived and none to be found to put in the can. The toilets are very short and shallow and like another reviewer, my husband had some issues with that. Love the bunnies!

A Bundle of Problems

Check-in was 4pm but the housecleaner was still cleaning at 6pm. This presented a real problem for us. At 6pm as we were still waiting to get into the house, the housekeeper said she had to go get new batteries for the smoke detectors. She left the batteries on the front porch and we ended up installing new batteries and putting the smoke detectors on their respective spots on the walls. The thermostat had a flashing light that indicated the air filter needed to be changed. There is as instruction sign by the front door telling you to leave the porch light on, but the light shines right into the front/king bedroom. It was hard to sleep that way. There are no screens on the bedroom windows which is a bummer if you like to sleep with the window open. There is wifi, but it is not connected to the internet. When I complained about that, I was told to contact Century Link directly to get the problem fixed. That's not the client's job. The towels are thin and old and cheap. One of the bedroom windows is broken. There was no real attempt to help us with any of these issues, just promises to "notate" (their words) for the local staff. I would not rent this place again, and I will do my best to stay away from any property managed by Vacasa.

Turkey day get away

Great comfortable place for family thanksgiving. Large couch. Needed some repairs normal stool ran all time slow draining. No lamps or lights in front room. But loved secluded location, good parking, close to our kids.i would use again.

Spacious and well laid out home.

Large kitchen, nice coffee bar, nice shower in master bath, lots of storage space. Very quiet neighborhood with excellent restaurants and shopping nearby.

Short Visit

Interior was fine except for minor issues (dish washer leaked onto counter and floor, shared bathroom was missing a towel bar and Keurig water reservoir was cracked). Exterior was poorly maintained. I'd guess the grass was 2 feet tall when mowed right before we arrived. Final facetious comment - too many wild bunnies (at least 6) running around the property! : )

Nice quiet spot

Great place to get away from the city for a while, but still close to amenities in Sumner, Puyallup, Fife, Tacoma, etc. Northwest Trek wildlife park is about 50 minutes to the south, and Point Defiance Zoo is about 40 minutes to the northwest. Great family of large beige bunnies to watch in the yard. Home itself was clean and everything was in good working order (appliances, plumbing, TVs, etc.). Only odd thing was that all the interior doors were closed when we arrived, so it was a bit spooky having to open each one to see what was behind it. Other than that minor issue, we're happy customers!

Would book again

I rarely do reviews as I never know what to say. I guess the best indicator of my satisfaction is to say I would stay here again. The only caveat for others, which may a a positive or a negative depending on what you are looking for, is it is a bit remote.

Plenty of room

The location had plenty of room. Quiet location. Easily accessible for our needs. Looked like it hadn't been vacuumed. Dishes had been put away wet. Was pretty well supplied with linens and kitchen cookware. No pantry supplies. Yard wasn't fenced for our dog.

I only have one suggestion for anyone renting this property!

Get to this property at least an hour and a half after check in time! We arrived about an hour after check in and the cleaning staff was still there! Other then that it was everything we expected and more!
