We stayed four nights in this gîte as we had a wedding to attend nearby. Anne-Marie and David were kind and helpful, keen to make sure our stay was going smoothly. The welcome pack (fresh milk, eggs, cheese, ham, bread, butter...) was - most welcome, as we arrived on a public holiday and the shops were shut. The gîte tiself was well-kept, with everything you might need for your stay. The only downside was that there is no separate toilet (but there are plans to remedy that) - which can be tricky with five adults in the house. It's perfect for families with small children, as there is an above-the-ground pool, swings etc, and the back garden is enclosed. We had no problem with noise from the adjoining gîte. There is plenty to see nearby, from the romantic ruins of Hambye Abbey, to picturesque Villedieu-les-Poeles with its bell foundry, to Mont-St-Michel, Bayeux, Caen (about an hour's drive away), and of course the beaches. We unfortunately didn't have time to see everything, but will be back!
