Our Christmas at the lake

This house was wonderful! Incredible and peaceful view of the lake. The hosts had Christmas decor up, along with a thought welcome tray of goodies. This house was thoughtfully appointed to meet our every need. Very Highly recommend!!

Wedding Party

Our family has stayed twice at this rental when in town for weddings. It is a great layout for multiple families that are attending. Well-stocked, clean, with a gorgeous view of the lake for pictures. We also loved staying in the summer when you can enjoy water sports on the lake. 10 out of 10!

Great family getaway and retreat

We've been coming to Lake Norman every other year since 2013 and this was our overall favorite home we've rented on the lake! It was large enough to accommodate our entire family, was well appointed with everything we need, gorgeous big views of the lake, excellent dock. We hope we can rent this one again in 2026!

Can’t wait to come back

We enjoyed our stay at Blue heron. The unobstructed views were breathtaking from every room. The house was well equipped to accommodate our young child and dog. We can’t wait to come back again.

Great extended family vacation house!

Such a great house! Nine of us of ages ranging from 1 to 74 stayed and had a wonderful time. Plenty of room for everyone. Great layout. Clean, new looking large dock with plenty of space to lounge. We would definitely stay again!

Most relaxing vacation ever

We loved our vacation house on beautiful Lake Norman. The house was perfect with so much to do for everyone that vacationed with us. We had 5 kids (age range from 16-25) and my Dad (we celebrated his 80th birthday while there). There was always something to do or a place to do nothing at all. The house was so clean and well equipped. We would definitely stay here again.

AMAZING

What a gorgeous property! The house had absolutely everything we could have needed. The two kayaks and paddle boards were amazing to have right at the house. The views are incredible, we spent so much time on the dock—you get such an awesome view of the lake!

Great location

We stayed here for the week after July 4th. The location was exactly what we needed, a quiet section on Lake Norman. We rented a boat and spent every day on the water. The house dock was great to just relax on and read a book. We were visited by a friendly turtle, osprey, blue birds and the occasional deer! The house itself was very spacious, clean and had more than enough room for us. Every room had a great view of the lake. We would certainly book here again.

Fabulous Lake House

The property totally lived up to the pictures. Great view, comfortable rooms, well furnished. We’ve been renting vacation houses for 20+ years. Blue Heron Bliss is one of the best. The pantry stocked with essential spices was a nice plus.

Our second stay!

We stayed at this house last year and loved it enough to come back! We highly recommend! The big reason is the great amount of hang out space. The main floor is an open floor plan with a wonderful amount of seating in the great room, the kitchen table seats 8 which is hard to find, and a large, well equiped kitchen! The downstairs is plenty of additional hang space! It's very clean with hotel level towels in the bathroom! We hope to return next year!

Beautiful views

Warm and welcoming great room perfect for gathering with family. Basement rec room was great for the kids. Continuous view on the backside of the house of the beautiful blue waters of the lake was really lovely! Only complaint was the dock and ramp with smaller children. Very easy for them to slip through if they try to hold on to the rail system, or there was no railing at all. Be careful!

Schöne Wohnung direkt neben einer Baustelle

Die Wohnung ist schön und gut ausgestattet. Leider ist direkt nebenan eine Baustelle, was nicht in der Beschreibung stand. Jeden Tag ab 7.30 Uhr wurde dort lautstark gearbeitet. Das war nicht besonders erholsam.

Beautiful Location

We stayed at this property as a group for a convention in Charlotte. The lake is beautiful and the surrounding area is very nice. The host provided supplies for s’mores, which we enjoyed lakeside on our final night. The location is amazing and the house was very nice, clean, and spacious. Would definitely consider staying here again!

It was the perfect location. The house was even better in person than in pictures.!!

We have done a few VRBO’s first time in Charlotte! We absolutely loved everything about it! This home had everything you needed and more! We 100% want to rent this place again! All family, all over 30 except two of us and it was perfect!

Best vacation rental yet!

The home is beautiful, spacious, and well decorated. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is very well equipped. Because of family dietary restrictions we cooked all our meals there. Our teenagers loved the lakefront local and the boat we rented. The adults enjoyed the quiet, peaceful neighborhood. Thumbs up from the whole family.
