My home town is about 30 min from Kurashiki. Being an artist, I have always loved Kurashiki because it is a place of very artistic people and rich history.

When my husband and I had the chance to buy this house, we thought it was a once in a lifetime chance. It was in poor condition and was in danger of being replaced with an apartment building.

We are lucky to have friends who specialize in historic restorations of houses like ours and even luckier that they were willing to help us restore this old house.

I am so happy to be a part of Kurashiki and be able to share a slice of historic Kurashiki and Japan to everyone who visits.

I hope you can have the same feelings when walking through the streets of the Bikan Area and imagine life as it was long ago.

Here in Kurashiki, you can visit Japans 1st museum, visit ancient shrines and temples, visit the parks and sit under cherry blossom trees in full bloom and experience Japanese cuisine at its finest.

We love traveling and have been to many destinations in Asia and Europe. We are always looking for a place like Kurashiki DEN. Where we can really get a true feeling for the places we’re visiting.

Kurashiki DEN is centrally located just a several minute walk from Kurashiki train station and located at the entrance of the Bikan Historical District allowing our guests an immersive Japanese experience.

The house is available for families or groups and ideal as a base for travel to the many surrounding cities and the nearby islands. Why not consider a longer stay and receive discounts on the daily rate.
