Long Lake is a 432 Acre full recreational lake, known for water clarity, fishing, swimming, water skiing, boating , ice fishing and snowmobiling.
Included are 2 kayaks and 1 paddleboard

Road America is 20 miles away with racing through October.
Whistling Straits Golf Course and BlackWolf Run are located approximately 30 miles away. Enjoy hiking and biking in the beautiful Kettle Moraine Forest.

Summer Lake House Trip

My husband, our three kiddos, and my in-laws had a wonderful few days and Sue and Duane's lake house. It is beautifully updated and has adorable decor. Long Lake is a perfect place for a paddle board or kayak ride. Chinatown is a lovely neighborhood. Can't wait to come back!

House was everything we could ask for on a long weekend for a guy’s fishing trip. Duane and Sue were a pleasure to work with from check-in to check out. House was very clean, plenty of seating along with everything one could need to cook with. After our morning and afternoons of fishing, we enjoyed coming back to the covered patio out of the sun and rain to enjoy the stories of the day, laughs and evenings of cards. Would certainly return in the future without question

Great trip!

We went for a 3 night getaway with our 3 young adult boys. The house was lovely! Everything was updated and the kitchen well-stocked. The house was very spacious including a very roomy upstairs and cozy back porch. We enjoyed the 2 kayaks and paddleboard on a very peaceful lake and a variety of games and DVD's which were plentiful in the house. We also had some good food at 3 nearby restaurants and took a 30 minute scenic drive to a nice beach on Lake Michigan. Would highly recommend this tucked away, private lake house!

Excellent stay

Our family had a great stay at this VRBO property. The home was super clean, comfortable, and had some fun and cute touches that made us feel special. The hosts were friendly and responsive. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Will book again if in the area.

Great place to stay

We had a great time! Pictures were accurate. The back deck is amazing and is where we spent most of our time. Duane and Sue were very responsive to my questions and were great to book through. Definitely recommend this place!

Beautiful sunsets!

We loved our stay at the Thoms lake house! The house was cozy, comfortable and very clean! We loved the well equipped kitchen. It had everything we needed as we cooked most of our meals during our stay. The outdoor covered porch was like a sitting in a living/dining room with magnificent sunsets every night. Having a gas grill on the porch made grilling out every night so easy. We ate outside on the nice patio table every night. It was so nice to walk out to the lake every day on their level lot. The firepit was great to use with plenty of firewood so we could relax and watch the beautiful sunsets. The home is beautifully decorated and modern. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. You can tell that this home is well built and taken care of. The lake was very nice and big for us to use our jet ski. The welcome basket was so thoughtful as well. Overall, this was one of our favorite vacation spots out of all the places we stayed at all over Wisconsin the last 16 years!

Place was great. On the lake with a great deck. Pictures in the listing were accurate. Place big enough for 4 adults with room to spare.

Road America weekend

We had a great stay on the lake with family. The house is updated and in great condition. It has everything you will need. The local town on Dundee has a few bars and restaurants we enjoyed. It was also a short drive to Road America where we went to the Indycar race. Would definitely stay here again!

Fabulous Lake House

We've stayed at a number of VRBO properties and this was one of the best. The house is great. It was clearly recently remodeled and everything looks like new (interior and exterior). There is a beautiful, large deck. It was recently covered and now has ceiling fans, a Bluetooth speaker system, and nice lighting. It even has a roll down shade to block the sun at dinner time. The bedrooms are spacious, and have ceiling fans. The kitchen has a large, family sized table and is well stocked. We swam off the dock and enjoyed the 2 kayaks in the lake. Also we enjoyed a couple of campfires. We had some nice walks in Kettle Moraine State Park. The bakery / cafe and burger / ice cream restaurant in nearby Dundee were great.

Awesome Stay!

I would highly recommend this rental! It was super clean, well stocked and very comfortable! We loved hanging out on the covered porch (perfect for adults and littles). It was a close drive (30 minutes) to Lake Michigan which is like being on an ocean and Kelly's Ice Cream Creamery. I highly recommend this home.

Perfect weekend trip!

The house was super clean and had plenty of space for our group to hang out. We loved the back porch and the fire pit in the back. The area was very nice and cute! The owners were very responsive and welcoming!

Just as advertised.

The property was just as advertised and completely met our needs. Well equipped kitchen. The owner was always available and very help. A good place to enjoy while going hiking and hanging with friends. Definitely we will be back.

Beautiful lake home in Kettle Moraine area

The home was lovely, and it was clear that major renovations had been done recently! The kitchen was well stocked, and while the kitchen/dining/living room was fairly compact, four adults (plus a toddler and a baby) stayed, ate and relaxed very comfortably. We were there on a cool weekend in fall, but would love to come back in summer - the deck is awesome, and the lake looks like fun too! Hiking in the area was scenic and you feel like you're out in the woods, but not too far from the Milwaukee area if you're looking for a day trip there. Notable benefits: - Very nice welcome basket with snacks and sparklers! Great touch! - Again, the deck is beautiful, with good space, great lighting and (I think?) built-in bluetooth speakers - Bedrooms are very comfortable, each with their own heating/AC controls - Remote control fireplace was nice on cool evenings - Smart TV and a supply of DVD movies kept us entertained in the evenings - Having a washer & dryer available was very helpful Very small issues to note: - If you've filled the bedrooms, you might find the main indoor living space a little tight if everyone's there all at once; eight adults would feel a bit cramped at the kitchen table or on the couches. But if the weather is decent you'll also be using the deck, so this likely won't be an issue. - We tried using the grill, and perhaps we're spoiled with our own grills at home, but this one had a grease fire develop under the grates soon after we started it; no damage to the grill or anything, but we didn't feel comfortable cooking on it, so we used the oven instead.

Nice place

We attended the Ryder Cup and used this space as our "home base", so didn't spend a lot of time during the day actually at the house. There was no wifi, which was a surprise as I didn't notice it on the listing. I am sure it was there, I just didn't see it, so not a good surprise when we needed to accomplish some work/school items while gone. Also, there are instructions concerning the sewer which we weren't aware of. Limit to 5 minute showers and not flushing the toilet every time. No washer and dryer for clothes, which is typically a nice bonus of renting a house versus a hotel. Again, this was probably all disclosed on the listing and I just didn't see it. Wanted to mention it here so others are aware. Property owners were very nice and easy to work with and the house was in good condition. It was too cold to venture on the lake while we were there.

Perfect lake retreat

Beautiful home with a perfect location on the lake! The kitchen had everything we needed. There was plenty of space/beds for our family and a couple friends of our teens. The backyard was great - with an easy walk to the water. We enjoyed the fire pit, fishing boat, kayaks, and place to dock our own boat. Owners were very friendly and easy to work with! The neighbors were friendly as well. Thanks so much!

Family Summer Vacay

The host were very friendly and easy to communicate with. They welcomed all questions and comments. The neighborhood was quiet and neighbors were friendly and helpful. The house was very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with anything you may need to make your stay easy. We made use of the outside picnic table on the beautiful deck. We used the grill for many meals and was happy to have it. The kayak was great for a leisure paddle around the lake. The boat was great to use to do some fishing. We also caught fish right off the dock. As others have commented there is a lot of seaweed which made swimming off the dock impossible for our teenagers. It was fine to float on top. We did go up the road to the Long Lake Recreation area in the State forest to their beach and it was better. I would definitely recommend this place for a vacation on the lake.

Lake Vacation

We had a great week at Long Lake. The host was very flexible and answered all questions quickly. We used the picnic table on the deck for every meal. The lake was shallow enough for all of our grandchildren to swim safely near the dock. If you’re at all squeamish about water plants in your swimming area, we used floaties tied to the dock for relaxing.
