Authentic cottage in Pilat Park, pets allowed

Housed in the former quarters of the Carthusian monks, L'Elixir occupies the first floor of a historic building in the heart of the village. This 150 m² gîte offers spacious rooms ideal for gatherings with family or friends. The large, bright living area combines a welcoming lounge space with a fully equipped kitchen. Each of the three bedrooms has its own private bathroom and toilet, ensuring comfort and privacy for everyone. The Myrtille room accommodates two people with a king-size bed. The Chartreuse Jaune room includes a double bed, two single beds, and two bunk beds. The Chartreuse Verte room offers a double bed, two single beds, and an open mezzanine with four additional beds. Wi-Fi, television, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, baby equipment, and a workspace complete the amenities. A small garden also provides a peaceful setting for enjoying sunny days. A public car park is located 50 meters from the gîte. The temporary access for unloading luggage is closed by an electrical barrier that automatically retracts. Please do not use it even if you find it open. Please go to the information point; only staff are authorized to open the access barrier. (The Tourist Office and the Town Hall accept no responsibility for any incidents occurring while passing through the barrier.) Staying at L'Elixir offers a unique immersion in a site steeped in history, where ancient stones tell the story of centuries of monastic life. Today, St-Croix-en-Jarez is listed among the most beautiful villages in France and is a designated "Village of Character" in the Loire Valley. Just outside the gîte, the village streets reveal a remarkable heritage, while the trails of the Pilat Regional Natural Park invite you to escape amidst forests, ridges, and rolling landscapes. Hiking, mountain biking, and nature enthusiasts will enjoy an exceptional playground. Just a few kilometers away, the renowned vineyards of Condrieu and Côte-Rôtie offer delightful culinary discoveries, while local producers showcase the region's flavors. This holiday home in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region is also an ideal base for exploring Lyon or Saint-Étienne. In this serene setting, guests enjoy a warm welcome and an environment conducive to relaxation. For exercise, a football pitch and tennis court are located near the cottage. And for delicious meals, there are two restaurants on site and a farm shop selling local produce.
