A great place for a family reunion! We had 27 ranging from 3months to 85 years old. This was the perfect place because every family had their own bathroom and the two huge kitchens were perfect! We made the best memories by the beach, by the pool, and waking to the pier.

Awesome wedding venue!

We absolutely loved staying here for our daughter‘s wedding weekend! The home was laid out perfectly having the groom side stay on one side and the broad side stay on the other! The home is just as described and absolutely beautiful! We held a wedding on the beach And the reception at the home for a small wedding of about 50 guests! The property manager was very accessible and stayed in contact throughout the whole process! We absolutely loved this home! I have a large family so we may be back for another vacation weekend in the future!

We had a great stay! Always great communication. Only thing I’d say is I didn’t see any beach chairs or what not, so just don’t forget yours!! Amazing house.

Great Location!

This house was perfect for our large family! Great location and great amenities available. One dryer was broken during our stay, but the property manager was quick to respond to our inquiries! Wish there had been wine glasses available in the home, but it was a great comfortable stay for 26 of us (6months old to 80+!) Looking forward to staying again next summer!

Amazing

There are no words to describe the beautiful house we had the pleasure of staying in. From the perfect views to the oversized kitchens we were really able to enjoy ourselves without feeling crowded or on top of each other. I can wait to come back and stay again. We had all of the comforts of home.

We had been going to this house for many years prior to it's renovation. WOW what a change. Beds are comfy, great kitchen and pool. Laura was so nice to work with. We will be back next year for our reunion. Needs more bathroom/bedroom towel hooks and it will be a 5 star.

Perfection

We stayed here last year and I gave this property the only 4 it has ever received. They have done a remarkable job helping their guests have the perfect vacation. I now know that 5+ is where this property belongs. The hosts are fabulous people and their love shows up in this vacation home. Thank you for sharing the perfect over the top home.

AMAZING BEACH Wedding

If you are wanting to get married at a beach house, stop looking, you have found it. We looked up and down the NC and SC coasts looking for a beach house to get married in and fell in love with one of the owner's other homes but it was already booked. She then told us we could come and see a house that she would be making into a wedding destination. When we first saw it, it was in the middle of a complete makeover but we decided to trust her based on the reviews of her other homes and we are SO glad we did. This home is Perfect for a wedding. It has lots of room outside and the home is like brand new and gorgeous!! You will NOT find a better home. Trust me we looked everywhere. We had a couple of small issues but as soon as we called Laura, she sent someone over immediately. If your dates are available, book now. You will be so glad you did.

Perfect venue for family vacation....wedding included!!

For our wedding, my husband and I had always wanted to find a big house on the beach, invite our whole family to vacation with us and then get married right in the middle of it! When we found Southern Comfort we knew it was the only place which could make this dream a reality, so much that we booked it before we were even engaged to make sure we wouldn't miss out!! Laura was so kind to let us visit several times and scope out the venue, allowing us to plan and design our perfect wedding ceremony and reception. The home itself was amazing, everything brand new with modern, beachy touches and plenty of room for our guests to feel completely comfortable. The kitchens especially drew lots of compliments and considering that we prepared all of the food for the wedding weekend ourselves, having multiple refrigerators, ovens and stove tops was key!! As much as we loved the house, the outdoor area is what really sold us. Having always wanted to get married at the beach but not ON the beach, the back deck was ideal for our ceremony. Some of our guests joined us on the deck and others lined up along the gazebo walkways and balcony, everyone with a great view of us and the ocean in the background! Afterward we turned the deck into a dance floor, with plenty of room for our entertainment and lots of dancing feet. When we weren't dancing, we were visiting the AWESOME Tiki bar under the house or eating at one of the tables we had set up around the pool. Speaking of the pool, it was definitely the favorite feature of the house for the vacationing folks--we were swimming by 10am every morning!! We had everything we could have possibly needed, and did I mention that the beds were so comfortable my husband now wants an exact replica for our home! Now that we are home and enjoying married life, we are still talking and hearing from family and friends about how amazing the house was, and there has even been talk about booking it for future family vacations! We cannot thank Laura enough for creating our "dream wedding house" and we will cherish the memories we made there forever!

Outdoor Space just as Great as The Indoor Space

This property was absolutely magnificent. It was one of the few that could sleep a large number of guests, but also offer them all their own bedroom and bathroom. The heated pool, abundance of deck space and easy access to the beach really made the outdoor space shine. While we had impeccable weather the entire weekend, I think we would have been absolutely fine rain or shine! The two large kitchens and family tables helped make all of the time indoors effortless and memorable as well. We had one small technical issue connecting to the house SONOS system and sent an email to the property management company (it honestly wasn't anything urgent) but they sent someone out within 15 minutes, and they even walked out to the beach to find us and remedy the issue. Incredible service. We will be back!

Great house!

We rented the house for a wedding with 40+ guests. Everything was great. The decks and pool were well maintained. House interior is well decorated and very clean. Everyone in our group loved the house.

Best house in OIB

Thank you for providing our family with such a wonderful home to spend time with our 35 family members from Texas, Georgia and North Carolina. This is our 10th time doing a reunion like this (always in ocean Isle) and we all agree Southern Comfort is our new all time favorite. We cook all breakfasts and diners at the house so the 2 kitchens w all those appliances made it so nice for all of us to cook and eat together. Kudos to the 2 double Wolf ranges-nice touch. Our group agrees this house also has the best pool / tiki bar set up and most comfortable mattresses we have ever had. We appreciate the quick replies and detailed information provided by Laura Ann. We loved Southern Comfort and will certainly return. Best house in Ocean Isle.

Amazing stay

We rented Southern Comfort for 5 days and our wedding took place right on the beach and at the house. We heated the pool (SO worth it!) and all our guests had a blast. The house is amazing, and we had about 33 friends (including 6 below 4 years old) stay with us and we never felt cramped! We did have an issue with the insinkerator and the dishwasher, however LauraAnn was really good in keeping in touch, and got someone over to fix the sink and put in a brand new dishwasher the same day. I highly recommend Southern Comfort!

Awesome family reunion spot

Thank you for allowing us to rent your beautiful home! Our group had an unbelievable time at Southern Comfort. We were referred to Luxury Lodging by Laura by a dear friend and the house we originally wanted wasn’t available. Laura then suggested we try Southern comfort and boy are we glad we did it. This house has everything. We had 34 people and cooked almost every meal at the house. The 2 kitchens right on the same floor were a God send. We had room for our whole family to eat together. There are also very nice covered decks w a few patio tables. House had a Phenomenal location. Kids walked to putt putt twice and to get ice cream. The “BIG” kids walked to bars and we all walked to dinner one night. The town of Ocean Isle is now our favorite. We have stayed in many large beautiful homes but Southern Comfort will now be “our” place. Thank you!

Perfect family beach house!

We rounded up 34 family members from 6 states and had the time of our lives at Southern Comfort in Ocean Isle Beach! We loved the locations and layout of this home and the staff is first class all the way-always ready to respond and just genuinely cared if our family was happy and we certainly were. We cooked every night so the 4 ovens (has VIKINGS) and 4 refrigerator all on the MAIN level of the house w plenty of dining tables to all sit together was PERFECT for us. Loved the pool area w Big decks and tiki bar...they even have 2 walkways to the beach right from the main level of the house. There were 4 bedrooms on the first/main floor so the “seasoned/seniors” could all have a room on that floor-a real treat. All the bedrooms had a bathroom and the beds were extremely comfortable and decor was beautiful. Killer location- We could walk to everything in town. I almost forgot to mention the golfing is unbelievable....possibly as good as Myrtle Beach. The Thistle was my personal favorite. We didn’t host a wedding but I can certainly see why people do them there. We just can’t say enough nice things about our experience and we loved Southern Comfort and Ocean Isle Beach (1st timers to this beach). We will definitely be back to a Luxury Lodging By Laura property. Thank you to our New friends, Laura and Laura Ann! We sure appreciate the hospitality!! Love, Bill, Amy, Nancy, Jamie and 30 others!

Perfect for our family of 35

Thank you Fishers for creating the perfect family gathering spot! Our family of 35 traveled from Texas, Ohio, NC, and Atlanta to be together and we could not have picked a better home. Loved having two kitchen (especially the stoves) and all the gathering space being on the main floor allowed us to hang out together and eat all our meals together. The Weather was beautiful and the heated pool worked out so nicely....the kids (of all ages) spent countless hours in there playing and making memories w their cousins. The beds were SO COMFORTABLE. Please tell me where to get them. Thank you for The always fast responses and I just really appreciate how much you seemed to care that my family was happy and having a good time. Your staff was wonderful and shared your same spirit of excellent customer service. The home was exceptionally clean and your pool area and beach access was perfect. We did a lot of bonding at the tiki bar!! Thanks again for providing the perfect spot for our extended family!! We will definitely return!

Wonderful family reunion location!

Early October we held a family reunion on Ocean Isle Beach. Although the weather was a little cool, the beach was amazing. The house was large enough to accommodate everyone, with enough space to escape for a few hours of alone time if you needed. We are hoping to do this again in a couple of years and this house is at the top of our list.
