Two out-of-town grandmas needed a place to stay In December near the new parents and baby in Hoboken so we could help out as needed while giving everyone some space and privacy. The apartment was great for this purpose.
The apartment is simply furnished and was very clean, beds were comfortable, towels were great, and shower was strong and hot. The Food Bazaar grocery is just two short blocks away, and we stopped by almost daily. The small kitchen was equipped well enough for simple meals. If you stay here, know that this is city living, with street and highway noise and plenty of sirens. We could hear the neighbors moving around on the floor above us, and cheers rose from other apartments after every goal in the World Cup. (Very fun!) The building itself is old, windows are drafty, and you'll have little control over the temperature in the apartment. We had to use the two space heaters provided one cold night when the heat was off for hours. The other nights, the apartment was very hot. This was our only real problem.
There are plenty of restaurants and bodegas nearby with food from all over the world. I needed to go to Urgent Care one day and had several good options to choose from nearby. It is easy to drive to the apartment from New York or anywhere in New Jersey; it took just 20 minutes to get to Newark airport. Public transportation is also easy to use.
Claudia responded very quickly whenever we texted her with a question or concern. We would stay here again. Thank you, Claudia.
