We have stayed at this condo in previous years, when it was managed by another company. Vacasa is now managing this property and there are issues:
1. The key for the garage was not in the condo as expected - not a big deal. Three calls to Vacasa over the next few days we got the same message: "we will contact the local manager and someone will call you back": - no one ever called. Even one of te the Vacasa agents said she would call back and never did. Finally after 4 days the local guy turned up at the door with a replacement key.
This is not a big deal but what if it were serious? A water heater or water leak? If this is how Vacasa responds for a small issue, what confidence do we have they will respond any differently for a larger issue?
2. As I said, we have stayed in this condo before (two years ago). Two years ago, we left feedback that the second bathroom tub drains SLOWLY....two years later, it is still draining SLOWLY....nothing has been done. Still showering with soapy water up to your ankles.
3. We know this building and know where the trash/garage is located, etc. There used to be a folder with all details of the condo in the kitchen - this has now gone and has been replaced by a Vacasa VR code - but the info on the web is generic - restaurants, things to do in Breck, etc. No mention of the garage; does not tell you where to take the trash; no details on check out; and where does the recycling go? We have never found this.
Again, a small issue but really annoying and shows lack of attention to details that matter.
4. Pull-out sofa is hard to pull out (broken) and the springs on one corner are broken. OK for one person but uncomfortable for two people.
5. We stayed for two weeks in the condo but the supplies in the place are set up for two/three day stays - not enough toilet paper, not enough trash bags, etc. We had to go and buy both. Again, not a big deal but annoying and we still paid the same rate. If we booked three 4-day stays instead of one 12 day stay, we would have had better service, cleaning, etc. Vacasa needs to recognize that if four people are staying in a condo for 12 days, they are going to use all the supplies in there and plan accordingly.
In summary, we love this condo but will likely look for a condo not managed by Vacasa next year. There are plenty of others...
