Perfect long weekend! This stay was our second visit to this lovely home! We love this house and Lisa the host is excellent- responds quickly. She had decorated the main level beautifully for Christmas! Always sad to leave and already looking forward to our next stay here- hopefully very soon!

Incredible views, clean, close to Blowing Rock, and with a responsive owner - perfect place for our group of 4 adult couples and couldn't have asked for more during our trip.

Great mountain retreat for families

We really enjoyed our stay at this comfortable and spacious mountain home. It was especially nice to be so close to both Boone and Blowing Rock.

2nd Stay! We loved it (again)!

We stayed at the Barn for a girls week and enjoyed EVERyYTHING. Great views from every vantage point. The deck is fabulous and everything is so convenient. We'll be back for a 3rd visit for certain.

Best cabin ever!

In 20+ years of staying at cabins for our vacations, The Barn is the best overall cabin that we have ever rented. It was clean, well-stocked and close to Blowing Rock as well as the many hiking trails that we were able to experience during our week there. Lisa was also great to work with and always very responsive and helpful. We would highly recommend staying here!

Gorgeous and convenient

We were 4 friends meeting for the first time since the pandemic. This house was very lovely, quiet, clean, and spacious. Comfy beds and beautiful interiors. It’s less than 15 mins to downtown Blowing Rock. I highly recommend this property.

Breathtaking views

The photos of this home don’t do it justice. We stayed in the middle of summer and had clear unobstructed views from the lookout deck. There were also beautiful views from the back deck. This property is conveniently located right off the main highway which made visiting downtown Blowing Rock and traveling into Boone very convenient. We will absolutely stay again!

Fabulous views, so convenient, terrific home in Blowing Rock!

Spent a wonderful 5 days at Apple Ridge with friends. The view is wonderful from every vantage point - especially the deck/overlook. The home is absolute perfection with everything you need in the kitchen and baths. Lisa and Paul were lovely, responsive, and easy to work with. I doubt we will stay anywhere else when we visit Blowing Rock/Boone.

Nice, clean, good location

Great stay near blowing rock. Convenient location near downtown blowing rock and blue ridge parkway. Well kept, clean, good internet. Property owner friendly and good communication. Nice common areas to hang out both upstairs and down. The views were nice too. Proximity to the main road means you can hear the cars going by a bit outside, but otherwise great place and will stay again.

Beautiful private home

This property is beautiful and very well done. The home is very welcoming and thoughtfully equipped for guest. The deck overlooking the mountains is particularly special and my husband and I spent many hours there enjoying the views and the fire pit. The check in process was very easy as was communication with the owner. I highly recommend this property!

Great property, enjoyed.

This is the second time we've rented The Barn and it was a good experience. The house has everything we needed and the views are super nice. The Wifi is very fast. Nothing has been overlooked and the house is very clean. Lisa and Paul are great to work with. Thanks for a fun vacation.

Great Holiday

This property was so nice for visiting my son over the Easter Holiday. He attends APP State and this was so easy to get back and forth to Boone. The home is beautiful and comfortable for a family. We loved sitting on the outside deck by the solo stove with the great view. We enjoyed making big breakfasts in the morning is the kitchen and the family room space downstairs and upstairs is nice for watching movies and playing games. The owner was really responsive to all my emails and made our stay very nice. Would definitely stay again and recommend this property. Kim

Love the Barn!

The Barn was a great stay! The pics don’t do it justice, it’s so beautiful in person. The location is great. You’re able to get to Blowing Rock and Boone easily. The rooms are huge. It’s almost like 2 houses in one with plenty of room upstairs and downstairs for friends or family. The views of the mountains out back are stunning. Lisa was so easy to communicate with. When we got worried about ice, Paul was there within minutes salting the drive. While the driveway is steep, it’s not hard to maneuver. The kitchen was fully stocked to cook at home. Our dogs loved watching birds from the porch. We’re already talking about a return trip!

The most luxurious home with open spaces and long range views from 3 sides of the house. Very convenient to Blowing Rock and the surrounding area. Unique spaces that. you won't find in town. Perfect for working from home. Gourmet kitchen perfect for entertaining large or small parties. Great for families with two separate living room spaces. 2 king size beds and one very special soaking tub in the Master bedroom which is on the main floor.

FIREWOOD: A starter supply of wood for the indoor stove and outdoor fire pit is provided for your arrival.
