We are a tico ad gringa family with lots of kids and dogs and family around us all the time, and we look forward to Welcoming you to our Mountain. We travel to and from Costa Rica on a regular basis so when we are not there personally, other families are invited to run the Casitas for us - so depending on the time of your stay, your hosts could be our family from Venezuela, Peru, Long Island or even the Philipines! We are all in charge of the small farm, gardens, and maintenance of the 'people' areas suh as paths and forepits. We believe in preserving the earth and reducing our footprint as much as possible, and so we grow many things right on the mountain. Because there is such easy access to so many great Ferias in our area though, we also eat and shop locally.

The views are incredible, the overall sense of simple peace and comfort, privacy and natural surroundings is like a massage for your senses. The area and the Palms House's access to so many wonderful attractions, while NOT being in a touristy, over crowded area is completely worthwhile for the guest looking to get away from it all, but still have access to the things they want to explore in Costa Rica. We are not perfect all the time, there might be an old pot we missed replacing, a missing blender ... or the oversight of a lightbulb being out, but just let us know and we are happy to fix it asap! We do not support a lot of internet usage or tv wathcing, and do not have either in the homes. We can supply a small modem, or time on our porch to plan your next day or call home. And there is a stretch of slightly daunting road (20 feet?) that makes getting to the mountain top all part of the adventure, but its completely worth the journey - as any great one usually is!
