The farm is just as idyllic as the photos show. Jess was a great host, and we loved being around the horses and the donkey. The location in Keene Valley was ideal for the things we wanted to do, such as visiting Lake Placid, Fort Ticonderoga, and Ausable Chasm.
Some notes for anyone considering renting this property:
- Be aware that you have to walk through the second bedroom (with two beds) to get to the third bedroom (with the double bed).
- All three bedrooms are upstairs. If you are visiting in the summer, the bedrooms are likely going to be warm at night, so you may be sleeping with the windows open and box fans going. Just the way it is.
- This is an old house with all the charm and all the quirks that entails. As long as you are cool with that, you will love your visit, and it will be much more memorable than staying in a newer cabin.
