We had three generations staying for a Fall Columbus Day weekend and everyone found something to their liking at this beautiful, rustic, well appointed cabin. The Bay view was spectacular, sundown was over way too quickly, communication with the owners was way above the norm. We all agreed that the weather and leaf change have never been better. Thank you so much for the memories!

The house worked great for our three generation family reunion. We made good use of the fire pit, and we cooked every day in the well equipped kitchen. The dining room table was well sized both for seating all of us and for playing board games. We also explored the area sights, including apple picking, the local park, lighthouses, and Egg Harbor. We highly recommend this place!

Sounds like you had some great family time! We do like having 2 of the bedrooms and 1 of the bathrooms on the main level - it definitely helps if someone doesn't do well with stairs. Our house works great for multi-generational visits!! Love fires outside and your sunset pics are great!! Come on back whenever you'd like!!

This cottage was charming and the location was excellent. Beautiful water views and very private yard. The 4 bedrooms were perfect for me and my sisters. The screened porch in the backyard was perfect for coffee and gazing over the bay each morning.Nice appliances, 2 tv areas and wi-fi made our stay quite comfortable. Hosts were very good with communication.

We loved this home and location! Opening the doors to the screened in porch and enjoying the lake breeze was amazing. The home was clean, well stocked and gave 6 of us plenty of room to stretch out and relax. We loved the fire pit Door County is our favorite place to visit!

This house was so wonderful!! The view of the water was incredible from the lanai and the firepit area. We saw some amazing sunsets and water views. Loved the Door County coffee left for us for the mornings. House was very comfortable in every way. Super clean! No issues at all with cleanliness. Becky was a wonderful host that responded very quickly. We loved being close to downtown Egg Harbor. We also used the walking trails across the road which were very pretty. Definitely would return next year! This is a very private place but also close to so many places!

This is an excellent location just a minute from Murphy Park and 10 minutes from downtown Egg Harbor. It was private and quiet during the week, with excellent views of the bay and beautiful sunsets! The house is cozy, but well laid out with enough space for both families that traveled together. The upstairs living area with the couch/tv also has a door to close off for privacy - great for little kids who may go to bed early in the upstairs bedrooms. We loved the porch and the fire pit! The kitchen is very tight, but nicely updated and well stocked.

We love our upstairs area, and you are correct - it's perfect for the littles who want to enjoy a movie if adults are downstairs. Porch and firepits are a MUST in Door County - who doesn't love to set outside in a screen porch and view those sunsets.... or better yet, sit around a firepit while the stars are out listing to the waves. One word. Sunset. Absolutely the most spectacular sunsets from high on a hill above Green Bay. We had a lovely visit at this cottage. There were 4 bedrooms and 2 baths which accommodated our family of 7 perfectly. Everything seemed a short drive from the cottage so we were able to participate in lots of activities in the different hamlets. The cottage was just around the corner from Frank Murphy county park. It has a nice sandy beach. We used the kayaks provided by the host and had numerous bonfires.

Thanks Cindy, I'm so glad you and others who have stayed, find Boyer Bay House a beautiful location, comfy home and had everything you needed. Mike and I try our best, we can't compete with some of those Door County rentals out there but our view and location can definitely compete with the best for sure; hands down. And let's not start on the price for some of those fancier places, we believe our guests get a great deal compared to other waterfront/Bayshore rentals. Clean, comfy, TOWELS!! and the sunsets - good stuff for sure!! Thanks again and we hope to have you again.

We had a family gathering at this property in Door Co. We had plenty of room and supplies available onsite. Beautiful setting overlooking the lake with a screen porch. Unfortunately our week there had cool temps so we didn’t get to make full use of the property outside except for a few days. It is located close to Murphy Park and almost anything you might enjoy in Door Co. Our only problems were responded to quickly by our host in a professional manner. We enjoyed our stay.

Great stay in Door County

We enjoyed our week at the Boyer house. Beautiful property with fantastic views. The sunsets are gorgeous. We also enjoyed exploring the private trails.

Nice cozy house - perfect for smallish group. Need to be able to do stairs to get down to pier but lovely sitting bench area up top to watch sunsets/have coffee in the morning and enjoy the view!

Our family of five loved the location and the view of the water. Beds were comfortable and I’m picky. Everything was as promised and the host was very responsive. We would definitely return.

This property was amazing. Had everything that I could possibly need for my stay. Has three amazing outside seating areas and amazing views. The hosts were very nice and responsive when contacted.

About Mike and Becky
When thinking about this write-up for VRBO we were surprised that our Door County story started almost 35 years ago. We first visited Door County to see about repairs for an outboard motor for an old Boston Whaler. During the brief visit, we were amazed by the harbor towns, coastlines, and rural open spaces. I remember saying “I thought this was only on the east coast”; we are born and raised Midwesterners. Every Door County Town/Village has its own special charm and unique attractions and best of all, everything is so close that you can have a great Door County experience over a long weekend. However, there really is so much to do, without feeling rushed, we recommend staying 1-week every year for the next 30 years to fully appreciate Door County.
Our honeymoon was a 14-day trip around Lake Michigan on that same old Boston Whaler (motor repaired) our plan was to visit all the highly touted harbor towns along the Michigan side and then cross Lake Michigan (we don’t recommend doing this in a 21-foot boat) and spending the second half of our trip exploring Door County. Our experience confirmed that Door County was a very special place; we found Door County exceptional. Numerous historic harbor towns, 300 miles of varied shoreline of rock, bluff, and sand, thousands of acres of State and County Parks on Lake Michigan (and Green Bay), and an iconic rural landscape.
After years of visiting Door County by both land and water, we were lucky enough to find a small house in a unique location of Sturgeon Bay and have been renting Boyer Beach House to vacationers for 15 years. We have found this experience to be very positive and fulfilling by being a small part of helping people enjoy what Door County has to offer to everyone. We have added Boyer Log Cabin and Boyer Point Cottage as well. Our small family business we are proud to share with everyone who is lucky enough to visit Door County – such a special area.

Boyer Point Cottage is located on Bayshore Drive in Egg Harbor. We love that it is so close to everything; you can drive north 15 minutes and you're in Fish Creek, a little bit farther and you're in Sister Bay. Skip over to Baileys Harbor or Jacksonport in 15 minutes or take a quick ride south into Sturgeon Bay to the larger shopping areas in 15 minutes. It's literally centrally located to everything Door County has to offer. Less than 5 minutes into Egg Harbor to visit the public beach or less than half a mile to Murphy Park to visit that public beach! It's a great neighborhood spot!!

Boyer Point Cottage is on the beautiful waters of Lake Michigan (Green Bay side). During your stay, you will witness beautiful sunsets like never before. Float in the water all day, sit on the pier, use the kayaks, or take a stroll through our private walking trails on 14-acres we have across the street. We've seen deer, turkey, grouse and beautiful Bald Eagles. Boyer Point Cottage is a 4 bed, 2 bath home with a great screened porch to view those sunsets in the evening. It's very charming.
