Michelle was a great host and communication was perfect. The house was gorgeous! I travelled with my wife and two kids, a 7 year old and a 16 month old. We were looking for a change of scenery from the city and we received it. The community where the house is far off the main road and we felt like we were in the woods, just like we wanted to be. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking. The air hockey table, pinball machine, board games, and the clubhouse (indoor and outdoor pool) provided entertainment for the kids on the days where we experienced rain. Some of the places we visited included the town of Wilmington, Stratton Mountain for the gondola ride and hiking at the peak, the town of Bennington, Weston, Woodstock( beautiful), Quechee waterfall and Gorge (highly recommend Quechee), Sugarbush Farm in Woodstock for cheese and maple syrup tasting(highly recommend) and King Arthur Baking Company (highly recommend). We also drove to North Adams, MA for the MassMOCA museum (highly recommend) and Jiminy peak for mountain summer activities like the alpine slide and coaster (highly recommend). Also, we drove up to the peak of Mount Greylock, the tallest peak in MA. Some activities were close and some were far. The house was located in a central location to all of these places. In summary, the house was beautiful and perfect, Michelle was a great host and Southern Vermont has a lot to offer during the summer. I highly recommend staying here. If you are bringing a kid under two, I would recommend bringing a gate for the stairs. :)
