The best trip ever

I am a traveller since I was 17 years old and I like to go new places to explore things, being in this place was the best ever especially for who looking for privacy. It was my honey moon me and my wife, we were very glad to stay there and enjoy the sunny time over the mountain with all of these wonderful people around. Highly recommend but need at least someone know how to drive the mountain is almost 5 miles

Quiet Retreat

Very nice orchestrated place: bathroom, kitchen space, nice terrasse with morning sun. Clean and maintained. Also, you get nicely contact to locals. Only caveat, you have to carry your stuff through the small locality, which in fact does not harm at all. Very close to the classic Climbing spots. Thanks Andrea for your great hospitality.

Magnifique paysage

La location est perdue dans un petit village au milieu de la montagne. Le paysage est magnifique et nous ne nous sommes pas lassés de la beauté des lieux. De plus, la petite piscine a été abondamment utilisée avec les enfants pour se rafraîchir et se divertir. A 10 min dans la vallée, un excellent supermarché permet de se ravitailler sans problème. La région est très belle et nous en avons bien profité. Un grand merci à Andrea pour son accueil !

Quite and serenity

The place is a fantastic idyllic place ,located tiny village on top of the hill/ mountain. Gently and friendly people. The view and privacy was exactly what we wanted. equipped with everything needed. sunny until the afternoon.

Perfect little getaway for a quiet place to relax

Small house in beautiful little middle-aged settlement. Nice views from your private harden, friendly people in the settlement. A bit rough road (bad tarmac) from the main road but you are being rewarded. All basics available in the house, small but practical. The friendly owner Andrea will be able to provide info on things to do. I can only say, just go if you like it quiet. Perfect place.

Come immergersi nel "vuoto" ma tinto di verde

Ho trascorso dei giorni magnifici in questo piccolissimo borgo montano dove gli unici rumori sono quelli della campagna e talvolta il canto del gallo. Il rustico è perfettamente ristrutturato con il gusto ed il rispetto verso le cose di un tempo per cui la casa è provvista di tutto l'essenziale adeguato ad un soggiorno in un simile contesto rurale, pertanto serve ovviamente un po' di adattamento ma la pace ed il panorama sono qualcosa di straordinario. Un posto incantevole che mi rimarrà, spero, impresso a lungo nella memoria.

A beautiful and atmospheric location

A wonderful view of gorges and mountains, and a village blessed with charm and friendly residents (even if we could only communicate with 'Buon Giorno'!). Perhaps it should be pointed out that the house has been divided into two adjoining units. The owner (Andrea) and a neighbour (Edoardo) were extreming helpful and speak excelling English. If you enjoy watching the rising sun, moon and stars, this is the place for you.

Schöne Ferienwohnung mit toller Aussicht

Die Ferienwohnung (eigentlich eine Haushälfte) ist sehr schön eingerichtet und dekoriert. Der Küchenbereich ist klein, aber mit allem Notwendigen ausgestattet. Der Aussenbereich (Terrasse, Garten, Whirlpool) ist sehr schön und gepflegt und hat eine phantastische Aussicht. Andrea ist freundlich und hilfsbereit und reagiert umgehend auf Anfragen. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gibt es im nächstgelegenem Ort (Ferentillo ).

Si lascia alle spalle il traffico della statale ,si attraversa un paesello e si inizia a salire verso questo posto magico.Si parcheggia l'auto nel piazzale del villaggio e ci si avvia verso la casina. Posizione magnifica con vista sulla valle e sulle colline.Silenzio assordante rotto da qualche animale da cortile e , di sera, dal verso dell'allocco o della civetta. Colazione sul balcone baciati dal sole mattutino. Casa magnifica dotata di ogni confort . Di sicuro ci torneremo!!

Rural bliss

A house in a small village, with a spectacular view on rocks and green sloping hills. The house is small and better equipped for two than for four people, so perfect for the two of us. The furnishing is simple, rural, but very tasteful. Very good bed! The terrace with big sunshade umbrella and garden is really nice! The kitchen is small, but adequate for preparing simple meals. Somewhat more dishes and bowls would be practical! The supermarket in Ferentillo is well stored and also open on sundaymorning. Don't go too late if you should want to buy the very good focaccia! If you hire this very nice holiday-location, you should be aware of the 90 steps you have to take from the Piazza Tacito: 70 up and 20 down. Your car is safe on the piazza and the inhabitants and dogs you pass on your way up are very friendly! Thank you, Andrea, for your kind reception and the care you took to explain everything! Fantastica

Soggiorni fantastico di 2 giorni per la notte di capodanno con amici. Il posto è molto tranquillo e in mezzo alla natura. La casa è molto graziosa e accogliente. Il proprietario molto gentile e, disponibile. Non vediamo l'ora che venga l'estate per tornare e rilassarci di nuovo in questo posto fantastico.

Get away from it all

This is a fabulous get away from it all place. It is quite simply stunning scenery and peaceful beyond belief! Andrea was an excellent host and very quick to get back with any enquiries.The property is beautiful and well equipped. The kitchen is a kitchenette but we knew that from other reviews and you can still do enough cooking on the hob. There is no oven. That said, there are plenty of local culinary options. The people in the hamlet, and it is a hamlet are very friendly but equally will leave you to you own devices. A great place to stay.

Un petit gîte plein de charme

Un superbe petit gîte avec beaucoup de charme et une vue superbe sur les gorges et la montagne. Le petit jardin était vraiment très agréable pour prendre le petit déjeuner et diner. L'accueil d'Andrea et la gentillesse des habitants du village étaient vraiment appréciables et nous avons passé un excellent séjour ! Côté pratique, la literie était très confortable et la salle de bain très propre et bien aérée. Le coin cuisine permet de se faire des salades ou des pâtes, ce qui est bien suffisant en été... les enfants ont beaucoup apprécié de pouvoir se balader dans le petit village en toute liberté. Un très bon souvenir pour toute la famille.

Wirklich schönes, kleines und gemütliches Ferienhaus. Ruhig gelegen und mit tollem Panoramablick.

Wir haben in diesem Ferienhaus schöne 12 Tage verbringen können. Ende September haben wir auf der Terasse frühstücken können und mit Jacke auch den Abend geniessen können. Auto ist allerdings erforderlich. Das kein Fernsehen/W-lan vorhanden ist sollte man wissen und zu schätzen wissen. Allerdings auch kein Tante-Emma-Laden/Gastronomie etc. im Dorf. Dafür ist das alles im Tal reichlich vorhanden.

Casa tipica ristrutturata con grande gusto

Andrea è un padrone di casa ideale: attento e disponibile, e insieme discreto. Ci siamo sentiti a nostro agio e abbiamo trascorso dei giorni indimenticabili. La casa è molto attrezzata e confortevole. Il paese è tranquillo e la natura intorno stupenda. La casa gode di una vista incredibile dalle finestre e dal giardino, che è ben curato e ricco di erbe aromatiche. Si sente il ruscello scorrere poco distante. Una vacanza consigliata a tutti coloro che cercano relax e natura.

wonderful place with a breathtaking view

We can only confirm the other reviews, the house is beautiful, situated in a wonderful place, a breathtaking view, absolute quietness, ideal for who wants to relax or as a base to visit the region. The kitchen though is a bit less practical. Andrea, who we didn’t have the pleasure to meet because he wasn’t there at the moment, and Paolo his cousin who replaced him are very nice and helpful people. In short, a house and a place that we surely recommend. Possiamo solo confermare e ribadire le recensioni già scritte, la casa è bellissima, ubicata in un « luogo ameno », una vista mozzafiato, la tranquilità completa, ideale dunque per riposarsi o come base di partenza per visitare la regione. La cucina pero è un po’ meno pratica. Andrea, che non abbiamo avuto il piacere di incontrare perché non c’era in quel momento, e Paolo il cugino che lo sostituiva sono delle persone gentilissime e servizievoli. Stunning views and quiet

This house is on the edge of a small village 30 minutes from Spoleto. It is extremely well kept and entirely private. From the back terrace, you have stunning, unobstructed views up a very steep, wooded river valley -- very dramatic. The house itself is clean and well-appointed. There are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two twin beds. The kitchen is a bit small, but serviceable, and we were able to make what we needed without a problem: pasta, salad, wine, coffee, all of which we ate on the terrace. We explored a few of the trails in the area, which were interesting (I am told that there is an actual hermit living some ways above the village -- shades of Arcadia -- but we didn't see him). Having somewhat limited time, we also used the house as a base to see some of the great sights of the area, such as Casteluccio which (don't quote me on this: I was enjoying the scenery and we stopped for lunch in Norcia) is about an hour away in the Parco dei Monti Sibillini -- a gorgeous spot. Andrea and his cousin Paolo couldn't have been more helpful or more unobtrusive. Hope you enjoy their house as much as we did.

Beautiful house, excellent location

Lovely house with lots of original features. Amazing location if you want to get away from it all and enjoy nature. A spectacular view from the terrace - a lovely way to start the day. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. As it says in the description, there is a kitchenette not a kitchen but this has all the basics you need. Andrea, the owner, was really helpful and there was great contact before and during the stay. Would definitely recommend this place!

Quiete e relax fuori dal tempo

Una bellissima casa indipendente su due piani, arredamento curato in stile rustico, un bellissimo camino e un grazioso giardino affacciato sul verde. Abbiamo trascorso una bellissima vacanza nelle ferie di Pasqua circondati dalla pace e dalla tranquillità della natura circostante. Ottimo posto per rigenerarsi! Il proprietario sempre disponibile e molto gentile... lo consiglio!

Beautiful home in wonderful setting!

Amazing place to stay. Beautiful house in an out of the way village, with amazing views and lots of nature to explore in the local area. Perfect for a relaxing and stress free get away, and if you like nature and the outdoors. Vacanza da sogno

Io e il mio ragazzo abbiamo trascorso tre giorni da favola!! La casa curata nei minimi dettagli è accogliente e in stile con lo splendido paesino medievale dove è collocata; Pulita e dotata di tutto Il necessario, oltre ad un bellissimo caminetto dal quale non riuscivamo ad allontanarci :) Il panorama è una suggestiva vallata...sembrava di stare in una fiaba! Andrea, persona squisita, ci ha accolti con grande ospitalità e premura. Consiglio vivamente ad amici e parenti! Io...spero di poterci tornare presto per rivivere nuovamente questo sogno ;)

Wonderful stay in hidden magic village

Alloggio esattamente identico a quanto mostrato nelle foto, ottimo rustico recentemente trasformato con stile gusto ed attenzione ai dettagli preservandone lo stile originario. Posizione mozzafiato con vista su una splendida vallata. Immobile consegnato pulito ed in stato impeccabile. Andrea ci ha accolti senza problemi mostrandosi disponibile a fornirci informazioni sulla zona di cui é profondo conoscitore e rendendosi sempre telefonicamente raggiungibile per ogni esigenza relativa al nostro soggiorno . Speriamo di tornarvi presto, esperienza sicuramente da ripetere. Dal paese di Castellonalto é possibile raggiungere interessanti sentieri nella natura più incontaminata così' come interessanti borghi medievali ed ottimi ristoranti che propongono gustosissime specialità di cucina umbra. Un tuffo nel passato che ognuno dovrebbe provare. The apartment is exactly as shown in the pictures, it's a pleasant and cosy apartment recently reformed preserving the original architectonic style with an extreme care for details. Breathtaking position facing a gorgeous valley. Flat delivered in extremely clean condition. Andrea welcomed us without issues providing us useful infos concerning the surroundings whose he's a deep connoisseur making himself always available for all questions concerning the stay. We all hope to come back soon because it's been an experience to be repeated. Moving from Castellonalto it's possible to discover plenty of tracks which will lead you in untouched nature places as well as interesting medieval villages and superbe restaurants able to propose tasteful dishes from the Umbrian tradition. A dive in the past that everyone should try.
