The kitchen was large and stocked. Great for a large amount of people. It's big. Three bathrooms are nice. I loved that the fireplace was set up to easily use. The view is nice. And quiet in the winter. It's pretty run down, but would be very good for a large group of people who are there to join together and cook and socialize. The wifi was fine after we reset it.
I arrived from Vancouver, and some of my family from Michigan and Toronto. Bringing sheets and towels was a chore. I was excited to see the Cottage as the pictures showed, but most of the knick knacks and books shelves (comfort decorations) have been removed. There were beds, and a picture in each room. Very little cozy decor as shown in the photo's. There were no curtains in the main suite I was putting my Aunt and Uncle in, which was a concern.
The lower level was musty and hard to bear. Communication was infrequent with the owner. I booked
after Christmas and paid $1850 for three nights. I Paid more and felt like i got less. I had to enter through a kitchen window because I received no response to a request for check-in instructions until after the check in window had lapsed. (There was an unlocked window off the deck with the screen out which seemed to be the exit and entrance of more then just myself).
The bedding was old, there was dog hair sticking out of the wood floor by the couch. The main bedroom bathroom shower door was broken with a note on how to use it otherwise.
