Let's start with the positives. The house is very spacious. It is well furnished, with comfortable beds and modern furniture. The heated pool was great, and the check-in process was a breeze.
The not so good:
- The house has only the barebones in terms of essentials. No laundry supplies, no dishwasher detergent, not even salt and pepper in the kitchen and one roll of paper towel and toilet paper per bathroom. You will need to plan your groceries right upon arrival.
The grill is oddly kept under lock and chains, only to be released to you upon a fee for the stay. We paid it prior to arrival but were disappointed to find an old rusty grill that was missing basics like a cleaning wire brush. It also lacked the grease-trap, which caused the nasty fats from the grill to drip onto the floor. That's not acceptable, especially if they are charging you for it.
Now the really bad: We realized upon arrival that our dishwasher was completely dead and promptly communicated it to the property management team via VRBO messaging. The response was that a maintenance team was going to be sent over. They NEVER came during our 4-night stay, despite multiple follow-up messages and phone calls. Later messages were just ignored. We were stuck hand-washing during our entire stay, creating a terrible experience for people who just wanted to relax and enjoy their vacation. I know things break but false promises of action and ignoring our messages is not acceptable.
