First of all, this house is really, truly gorgeous. The pool and patio area as well. We had a lot of fun in the pool.
Sadly, that is where the fun stopped. Where to begin? I guess at the beginning - when we walked in, and saw the family room TV mounted askew, off-center, with wiring hanging loose from it. "Huh, that's weird. Must've been a rush job. Oh, well, no big deal." How very quaint a notion at that early juncture. You see, one of the dangling wires was also dangling a Roku Express - which works, UNLESS you set it up on the mantle, then it goes out. I can only assume the weight of the Roku is keeping a loose connection in the HDMI port connected.
Moving to the Master Bedroom: a couple things (note that as of this point we still considered these 'no big deal'). The home is listed as pet friendly, which was borne out by the numerous pet stains in the carpet. Also, our first few nights were cool enough that we didn't immediately notice that there is little to no AC in the master bedroom.
Master Bath: sink handles falling off; electrical socket not set into wall, jutting out 1/2 inch leaving an open space and exposed wires right next to the sink! The master shower doesn't stay hot, and also is very difficult to turn off, as the "off" position seems to move around the 'dial.' I assume something is loose behind there. We had to shower upstairs. We're starting to stray into 'maybe this is a big deal' territory...
Kitchen: Lower dishwasher rack had 4 wheels on one side and none on the other, so it sits too low in the dishwasher, blocking the water spraying spinner at the bottom. I moved two of the wheels to the other side - and the dishwasher doesn't drain anyway. And also doesn't turn on. Baseboards not attached to anything, literally falling onto the floor. Barstool chair collapsed as our son was sitting in it looking at his phone! A close examination of the others revealed that they all have broken legs that were shoddily repaired; protruding sharp screw tips were visible.
All the bedroom TVs shared the same haphazard mounting and wiring as the one in the family room. Air hockey did not blow enough air for a game. Only three pool cues, and only one of those had felt. And no 5 ball. Washing machine also does not work.
We called Vacasa multiple times during our stay. We were assured somebody would come out to affect repairs; no one ever did. We were told we would be given a partial refund. That never happened. We also submitted a litany of photos and videos to them (if I could figure out how to add them to this review I would).
The really sad thing is that a good handy man could probably have this all repaired in a good day or two's worth of work. But when combined together, all of these 'minor' inconveniences ended up really negatively affecting our vacation. If I were you, I'd skip this one - and maybe this site.
