Paris Getaway

We had an amazing time for a short stay in Paris. The location of the property was perfect for what we were looking for. We love to walk and explore the little neighborhoods. 5 minute walk to the beautiful Eiffel Tower which was magnificent at night. Plenty of restaurants and we did the hop on/hop off bus which was a great way to see the city in such a short period of time. The apartment was lovely and quaint and the beds were so comfortable. The host gave easy instructions and check in and out were seamless. We would definitely stay here again.

The residence was comfortable and convenient to attractions, dining and grocery stores. The beds were extremely comfortable and the unit was clean, updated and quiet. We were content with the two bathrooms, but one is very small. It was fine for us but it needs at least one shelf as there was no place to put things. The other bathroom is an average size and was fine. It was nice to come home to a private home. It was great. We felt welcome. We appreciate the kindness of the owner.

Nice flat in great neighborhood but a few gotchas

This is a very nice flat that is chic and modern and situated in a undiscovered neighborhood, close to metros, good pastry shops and restaurants. The main gotcha is that the flat is on the ground level, with the main bedroom and only bathroom located in the basement down steep stairs. This bedroom is open and guests must come down the stairs, crossing the room to access the bedroom,. so the layout may not be suitable for mixed couples, or travelers with mobility issues. We were a family so this was not a problem. Pros: 1) Modern flat with wow factor, great kitchen, and large eating area. Room for 4 to spread out, and relatively quiet. Heat was adjustable and comfortable. 2) Super neighborhood. Live like a local with a boulangerie across the street, 3 more within 2 blocks, and lots of prepared/ takeaways food options within 4 blocks (cheese, wine, prepared gourmet items). 3) Super clean 4) Close to many metro and bus stops. Walk to Eiffel Tower. 4) Good WiFI - 20 MP down/ 6 MP up. Adequate. 5) Easy check-in. Hosts were prompt and we knew the check-in process 24-hours prior to arrival. 6) Host cares. Prompt on response. Provided nice shampoo/ soap/ paper towels/ coffee/ kitchen supplies that was much better than other VRBO hosts. Cons 1) Bathroom and open bedroom (no door) in basement down steep stairs. This is not obvious from the pictures. 2) Kitchen and dining area adjacent to street. Windows are opaque to ensure privacy, and noise is reasonable, but you can hear pedestrians as they walk down a relatively quiet street. That provides a certain charm. Overall, this was a excellent apartment and a fair value with really attentive hosts. We had a great stay over December.
