Needs updates.

We were disappointed with this rental. For the price we paid they need better amenities. The towels and linens provided were very worn. We had to purchase blankets while we were there because there were none in the rental. We also had to get a candle due to the place smelling very musty. I’m not sure when it was cleaned but it didn’t seem like it was very close to our stay. The floor was very dirty and there were dead bugs all around the windows. The location is great but they need to take better care of their renters and provide higher quality items and provide a cleaner environment.

Great location!

House was clean and had everything we needed! We cooked most of our meals and they had every pot, pan, utensil and even spices that we needed. They even provided a few rolls of toilet paper. The only thing we needed to bring ourselves was laundry detergent.It’s in a great location where you walk to the slope which is a little past your parking spots. It sits right between Upper Shawnahee and Lower Shawnahee so you can see both sides.Only advice I have to offer is 1) put the flag up on the trash bin otherwise it won’t get picked up 2) there’s a window in the bathroom where the neighbors can get a “show” while you shower. Our trick was to take foil (which the house had) and hang/mold it to the window.Great place! Will definitely stay again!!!

Great location and views

Enjoyed our stay at this lovely chalet with great views of the mountain and easy access to slopes. Beds were comfortable and showers were hot. Only complaint is the white dog hairs everywhere but otherwise clean and cozy.

If I could give it more than five stars I would.

Everything about this property was perfect. The responsiveness from the host just answering a few basic questions before we checked in was very quick. I can’t think of a better location. The house it situated between two ski lifts. It was SO NICE to be able to ski in/out as we pleased. It was also very nice to be able to walk to town to eat if we felt like it. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook our meals, the beds very comfortable. We’re already looking at dates to book for our trip next year.

Some minor issues.

The place is great. When we arrived we noticed a broken railing laying on the lawn (hill) we also noticed cigarette butts on the deck and beer bottles (which we disposed of) smokers are disgusting filthy people in general. The place was great as far as location. Literally the views were great and the slopes were feet away! One thing I have to say is we had a service pet with us and they still charged us a pet fee. The book keeper or accountant was extremely nasty to me which I was surprised at because I was super nice to everyone. I told her the dog is not considered a pet but she insisted I still had to pay the pet fee. Then she had the audacity to say I probably got the service registration online and it wasn’t real. I gave her the name of the place that trained her and requested she call right then and there to verify she was a service dog. At this she scoffed. will be contacting the service pet website to see if this was unethical or illegal. My guess is it was. Her whole demeanor and attitude was uncalled for. I suggest reprimanding her. I asked for an apology and the only apology I got was “I’m sorry if my tone upset you but I’m a direct person”?? Really. That’s your apology. Fire this woman or reprimand her. And refund my 119.00. We left the place beautiful. Even did the laundry!

Stay for the location

The location is the best aspect of this rental. There are two bedrooms and two baths. A pull out couch which is extremely uncomfortable. The bathrooms have been remodeled in comparison to the rest of the place. The master shower is unusually large for the small space and we could but figure out how to work the shower until the last day. Upon arrival, there was dirt on the carpet, dog treats on the floor by the couch and someone else’s ski card on the floor. I am not sure the unit was cleaned or swept. The kitchen is a hodgepodge of stuff everywhere. No order to the cabinets and drawers and many of the dishes were dirty- we washed everything prior to use. There was bug droppings in the corner of the kitchen floor by the heater in the corner too. The beds were comfortable and the heat worked well. I feel like the owners went to a flea markets and bought a mix of stuff and put it in the unit. The best part is the location. Easy proximity to the slopes. I would strongly recommend to the owner a better cleaning service and maybe organize the kitchen better.

Reviewer Comments: I have been spending October in a beach mountain for more years and I care to remember I love it there This was my 1st small 2 bedroom Cabin rental . and it was lovely it was a round house totally surrounded by windows.lovely. didn't mind smaller size.Only small difficulty was roads so hilly. I am older and have a dog to walk, plus I missed being able to take long walks.But lovely clean cabin with everything you need.I loved the variable weather..sunny,rainy, frost, snow..everything a Fla resident would want.

There was plenty for all to do and enjoy.I am a repeat renter for this property because of the beautiful full view and nice deck with lots of chairs but I’m disappointed in the new house being built directly in front that blocks my favorite part of the view. Because of this I will not be renting this location any more. It’s still beautiful but I know what I’ll be missing now.Property management worker Angie is amazing to work with. She is so helpful.

Awesome views

Overall, everything was as expected. Phenomenal views from the deck. The kitchen was rather small but had everything we needed. The two bathrooms were extremely nice. King bed was very comfortable. My only complaint would be that there was no cable tv. There was some type of tv system with some stations but not what I expected. Overall, my wife and I enjoyed the home and would definitely rent it again.
