Great place to wake up in morning to the site of the Rhone

Property was in the best place for restaurants, wine tastings, hiking, looking at the Rhone…….the accommodations was awesome, I’d just recommend someone with any mobility issues would have problems with the stairs otherwise if in area again I would not hesitate to stay

Delightful stay in the Rhone Valley

This home is in a perfect location to enjoy the area. It was well fitted out for all the daily needs and very clean. The host was very welcoming and informative about the area and all things that we needed. The views of the river and the Hermitage hill from the windows was an added plus. It was close to restaurants, wine bars and wineries, all within walking distance. I would highly recommend this home to anyone wanting to enjoy a enchanting stay on the Rhone River.

Beautiful apartment and excellent location

The apartment was equipped with every thing needed. It was very convenient for the attractions of Tain & also Tournon. Having a garage for the car was a bonus. The view of the Rhone was beautiful. On arrival the owner was extremely helpful. We had a lovely holiday.

lovely town gite

Absolutely lovely the property, everything was as stated. The gite could not have been in a better location and to have the garage underneath was perfect. All beautifully kept and very clean, beds were a delight and pretty bedding. Always a plus for us! Owner was so friendly and told us of lots of things to do and see. So helpful. We just loved the area and hope to return as soon as we can, we still have so much to do and see in the area. Thank you Fabienne.

Relaxing on the Rhone

Great property with plenty of space, including a garage. We particularly liked the position on the Rhone and watching boats sail by. The air conditioning and beautiful new bathrooms were also much appreciated. Our host Fabienne, was very helpful and provided a lot of information on things to do in the area. Tain proved to be a good base to explore; a car is a must to make the most of the scenic beauty of the area.

An excellent house in a central location

The owner of the property is very helpful and speaks good english so communication was easy. The house is very central (so does get some noise in the evening), and is well maintained with two good bedrooms and bathrooms (plus 2 other rooms). Lots of stairs. You can walk anywhere in Tain or Tournon without difficulty and lots of places to eat

Tranquility and Serenity

This charming property overlooks the Rhône River and is perfectly positioned to enjoy everything the area offers. Fabienne is a very sweet host. She has stocked the house very well, and it is very easy to live in and feel as if you are home. We particularly enjoyed the ebikes and wine fridge that are available for your enjoyment! We had a car, so the garage was especially appreciated. The newly remodeled enclosed porch is very nice. We enjoyed coffee out there every morning and a glass of wine in the evening, watching the boats, bridge, lights, and people. Just delightful! There are many fine restaurants within walking distance. We particularly enjoyed Restaurant La Chaumiere across the bridge in Tournon. The trout with almonds is quite special! Thanks for a great two week stay in your perfectly located and charming house, Fabienne!

We loved staying in this house by the river and highly recommend it! The location is in Tain l'Hermitage is perfect, with a beautiful view of the footbridge, tower and chateau, looking over toward Tournon, very picturesque. We enjoyed hours sitting on the deck watching the occasional barge go by in the peaceful setting. In addition to the deck, the first floor has a sitting area with the same beautiful view, which is great if the weather isn't suitable to be outside. The house is very spacious, with 2 separate living areas in addition to the deck, a dining area, and each bedroom on a separate floor. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed, and we did cook dinner a couple of nights there. It was an added bonus to have a garage for the car. Fabienne's hospitality was outstanding! She was extremely thorough in explaining the particulars of the house and very helpful making many recommendations for the markets, what to do in Tain, Tournon and the surrounding area. A few recommendations - we loved having lunch at the restaurant (almost next door) Le Quai - and it would probably be super for dinner too. We had an excellent dinner at Le Tournesol in Tournon. We really enjoyed La Cite du Chocolat (Valrhona), and our tour of Cave de Tain, plus the Thursday brocante market and Saturday market. Patisserie Broyer in Tain is amazing, and although we did not buy one of the beautiful tarts, they make the best pain au chocolat and chausson aux pommes we have ever tasted. We loved the "baguette tradition" from Coquelet Thierry. We also visited Romans-Sur-Isere, Saint-Felicien for their market (beautiful drive and not far), and took the Train d'Ardeche through the gorges. We had a fantastic time and loved this property! Wonderful property, wonderful host, wonderful town

This lovely apartment is in the perfect location. Close to downtown Tain l’Hermitage, it is steps away from the Rhone, and a short walk to bakeries and restaurants. The apartment itself has three levels so it isn’t well suited to those with mobility issues or small children—but this is clearly highlighted in the property description. On the main level is the living room, dining room and a small kitchen. Although the kitchen is small, it is well equipped. Off the front entrance, there is an outside terrace that is idyllic for taking in the spectacular view with a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. The second level has a bedroom, bathroom and sitting room. The third level has a bedroom, bathroom and office. All three levels have stunning views of the Rhone River, Tournon Castle the pedestrian bridge that links the two towns. The famed l’Hermitage wine region is within walking/hiking distance and directly across the Rhone, one can see the vineyards of St. Joseph. There is Air Conditioning if needed. The garage holds one car and street parking is easily available for a second vehicle if needed. The washing machine is located in the basement garage, and although there is no dryer, there is plenty of room to hang your clothes on a drying rack. We were extremely comfortable here choosing to cook at home, or take a 5 minute stroll to one of the myriad of excellent restaurants. We found the residents of the town to be very friendly. There is always a friendly “Bonjour”. The drivers were extremely courteous-stopping at crosswalks immediately when you need to cross the street. Unlike the Burgundy region, the winemakers were happy to serve customers at their cellars, and usually without any fees. The owner Fabienne, speaks English fluently so communication was easy. She went above and beyond to arrange activities and winetastings for us and to recommend restaurants, in advance of our visit. It was very much appreciated. I highly recommend the town of Tain, this property, and Fabienne and look forward to returning there in the future.

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt. Schönes Haus direkt an der Rhone. Große Garage - MB V-Klasse gut eingeparkt bekommen. TOP Ausgangslage für alle Aktivitäten in der Umgebung. Bäckerei, Supermarkt und Bahnhof in wenigen Gehminuten erreichbar. Alles war exakt wie auf den Bildern gezeigt oder im Text beschrieben.Fabienne ist eine wundervolle Gastgeberin und hat uns bestens mit Informationen und Empfehlungen zu Tain und Umgebung versorgt.Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt und haben die Zeit sehr genossen. Absolut empfehlenswert.

Sehr gutes Haus, erste Adresse in Tain

Vielen Dank für den sehr netten Empfang. Wir hatten eine wirklich sehr schöne Woche in Ihrem Haus. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder. Wir haben am 14.07. das Feuerwerk mit klassischer Musik aus der tollen Bose Anlage genossen und kommen gerne wieder. Der neue Wintergarten vorne am Haus ist eine Berreicherung und die Garage im Keller ist sehr gross und unser grosses Auto passte sogar mit dem Fahrradträger super dort hinein. Viele Grüsse von Gesine und Uwe

De locatie van het pand was goed maar het interieur liet te wensen over.

We werden vriendelijk ontvangen door de gastvrouw. De locatie was erg goed, heel veel te beleven op wandelafstand. Lekkere restaurants in de buurt. De foto's op de site waren niet echt in overeenstemming met de realiteit. Het pand was algemeen niet zo net en de slaapkamers alsook de badkamers beantwoordden niet aan de betaalde prijs voor het gehuurde huis.

Très bon séjour, logement idéal.

Maison très bien située pour les multiples activités proposées par la région. Tout l équipement nécessaire est là. Notre Hôte est très agréable et ses conseils bien appréciés. Le garage est un plus indéniable. Nous reviendrons.

Charming river front location

We would normally go for a rural setting with outdoor space so a townhouse was a complete change for us. The property, on three floors is spacious and stylishly furnished. It also has a garage (including a bike repair stand!) The kitchen is fully equipped but we didn't make much use of it due to all the bars and restaurants so close by. The house has a beautiful view over the river to Tournon, especially in the evening when the town is illuminated. The area has an extensive cycle network from the flatter voie verte routes north and south of the town to the more challenging and hilly routes running east and west. Fabienne and her family are very welcoming and speak excellent English and always available to answer any questions and make sure that you are having a good time.

Maison très bien située

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans cette maison qui est idéalement située. Au pied des pistes cyclables avec les enfants, c'est super. Famille de seine maritime.

Ruime woning aan de Rhône

Ruime gezellige woning met garage. Het balkon is inpandig met een open te draaien glazen dak. Het afwerkniveau is matig in badkamers en keuken, maar alles werkt en is schoon De eigenaresse is erg behulpzaam en reageert snel bij vragen of problemen. We hadden een prima week in Tain.
