Beautiful week away with Family & Friends at the lodge! It had everything we needed and more!! The river was the best place to spend our days in the sun!! The hosts were always available with any questions we had and made our stay even more perfect!!! It was a 17 hour drive for us and it was so worth it!!

Absolute Paradise

Nice little Chalet facing the Miramachi River. If you want a place to go and just chill, this is the place you want to stay at.This place is an absolute gem.Only thing we found (not against the property but us not being prepared) is bring swim shoes. The bottom of the river is rocky and not nice to bare feet.I would stay here again hands down.

We wanted just a quick trip away somewhere remote. Description and photos were accurate. Host was diligent and excellent with communication. Our first time ever booking something like this and it was a positive experience. We hope to return to Cast Away Lodge!!

Great stay in the Miramichi

Multi-generational family stayed here the last week of August 2023. The property was clean and beautiful, well-located for both day trips to Miramichi and Fredericton. It was quiet, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen well-stocked with utensils, cooking gear, etc. Thank you so much for having us!

Absolutely stunning property!!

I’ve been to quite a few cottages through out New Brunswick and this is by far the best yet! The hosts were amazing, the property is beautiful and the private beach on the Miramichi river was incredible! The cottage is immaculate , the beds are comfy and they have multiple out door games to enjoy. I’ll definitely be going back again soon!

Wonderful Family Vacation.

Just back from a wonderful stay. Communications with hosts were quick and informative! Immediately fell in love as we drove up to the lodge, welcoming comfy porch and beautiful view of the water. Inside was immaculate and very well stocked with everything needed. Beds and linens super comfortable. We enjoyed an amazing family vacation with our adult children and granddaughter, just what this mama needed, all of her babies under one roof again! Thank you to our wonderful hosts, we will be back!

An idyllic summer (or winter) camp!

Wow. Where to even begin… the minute we turned onto the private lane, a feeling of excitement poured over us. The property is nestled away in the woods like a proper summer camp (or winter log cabin). It has access to the river, a fire pit, a hot tub, and truly everything we could have needed—even some snacks, and a personalized note on the chalkboard. My own mom runs a rental property registered with PEI tourism, and don’t tell her I said so, but you really showed her up. In addition, my partner has contamination OCD which can be a real struggle when we stay at hotels, since he requires a certain level of cleanliness. The lodge far exceeded even his expectations and I can’t tell you how incredible it was to see him so relaxed, comfortable, and letting loose and having fun pretty much immediately. We all agreed that an annual tradition is in order here… THANK YOU for providing the perfect venue for our weekend getaway. The place is better than we could have expected, and even the great pics don’t do it justice. The hosts are incredibly kind and helpful as well. Even the guidebook had incredible recommendations! Everything was truly magical and perfect. Looking forward to returning next year!

Little piece of heaven

If you are looking for a clean,spacious fully equipped cottage, this is the perfect place for you. We had a wonderful time during our 4 day stay. The view is wonderful, and the wood stove was the icing on the cake. A great place to enjoy the nature and get a peaceful getaway. We would not hesitate to rent it again.

We just got home from a weekend at cast away lodge and we had an amazing time. Duane and Joanne go above and beyond to make sure you have a great stay. The lodge is beautiful, extremely well kept and clean!

We had an amazing stay!

We had an amazing stay! This place is well maintained, extremely clean and had all the amenities we needed. Even our two teenagers enjoyed all the highlights that the property had to offer. The host, Duane and Joanne, are very welcoming and helpful. I would highly recommend Cast Away Lodge as it a wonderful relaxing place to stay. We will definitely be going back in the near future. Already missing the view.

Wonderful Place

We stayed for a long weekend in August. The hosts were great. Check in was a breeze. They have thought of just about everything you would need. The cottage is well equipped and nicely decorated. We will be back for sure.

Hi….I’m Beth. I’m a “military brat” who lived and travelled all over the world growing up. Many of my summers were spent on the Mighty Miramichi, where my mom and generations before her were born. I loved spending time with my Grandparents here, and have many fond memories of these New Brunswick summers.
My Uncle and Aunt recently moved back to the Miramichi and ventured into the vacation rental business. They opened up Cast Away Vacation rentals in May of 2020 and have thoroughly enjoyed helping guests create special and memorable vacations on the beautiful Miramichi River.
My husband Mike and I (with our three children) have decided to jump on board with the intent to carry on creating these exciting experiences for guests at the Lodge and at our newest property the Grand Lodge.
We are pleased and proud to be assuming the reins of Cast Away Vacation Rentals in September of 2022. We look forward to hosting you, your family and friends very soon!!!
