Overall, the house itself (the structure) was very pretty, secluded and spacious. The driveway to the house is definitely spotty in areas. I would not want to drive it in anything, but an SUV. The house was very pretty and a little more secluded than I think we were looking for- no views at all. Unfortunately, the house was dirty and smelled- cobwebs on the walls, corners and throughout the house, pillows flat as a pancake, old cans/trash in the yard, dirt/sand in the beds(and no we did not put it there), a roach ran across the bed when we got in it, and daddy long legs throughout the house. Some sort of pest control is definitely needed. I get it, your out in the woods, but I have stayed at other cabins, and not come across this problem. There were literally no towels, so make sure you bring everything you will need. One towel per couple is a little hard. Barely any wood for a fire, so bring wood if you plan on using the firepit. Upon arrival, the house smelled really musty. Once we turned on the HVAC it got better, but it smelled for a while. I think a little personal touch in the house would have gone a long way i.e. better cleaning, updating the bedding, more available household items, turning on the HVAC prior to a patron arriving, etc. There was plenty of space for everyone and the amount of beds as well. The owner did extend the checkout time, so that was very accomodating. Overall, no I would not stay here again, but the house (the structure) is nice just lacking a lot. I have stayed at other VRBO properties, and didn't run into these issues. Attention to detail is everything to renters.
