Perfect Holiday Stay

My daughter and loved the property, the amenities, and location! Being nestled between Natural Bridge and the Blue Ridge made access to great hiking extremely easy. We loved the ping pong table, the pool table, and openness of the floor plan. The kitchen had everything we needed for dinners in, but Lexington proved to be really fun for food too!!The hosts were very communicative and even provided detailed handouts via email prior to arrival!!All in all, we loved it!!

Graduation Weekend

We flew in for Liberty Graduation. Great house, beautiful views, quiet area, awesome host!! We had time to hike to Lace Falls and see the Natural Bridge. Must do! We also ate lunch at NattyBs General Store just down the road. Great people; Great store!! You want to stay here.

We felt right at home!

This is the most comfortable home! We felt right at home right away. It is equipped with everything that we might have wanted and more! There are so many thoughtful touches that made our family visit here just right. We ate more meals in that we had planned just because it was so cozy to be there, and the spacious kitchen and dining room made it so easy. The beds are very comfortable, and the living room is great for deep conversations and naps! The bathrooms are great. Downstairs is filled with fun games -- a pool table, ping pong, foosball, and more. The yard and surrounding areas are beautiful. A magnolia tree was blooming in the front yard when we arrived, so inspiring and springlike. We had a little dog with us and the yard was good for him. We were there during a lunar eclipse and the deck right off the kitchen made a wonderful place to watch it and the stars. The area beyond this house has lots of interesting things. We particularly enjoyed the Virginia Animal Safari. The owners of this home went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and enjoy our stay. We couldn't have asked for anything more. We loved our vacation in this place. We are so grateful.

Great stay at super charming house in a great location

Exactly as advertised and had everything we needed and then some. We skipped a hike just to enjoy the house a bit more. Phyllis and Melvin were excellent hosts. Check-in and check-out couldn't have been easier.

Great Stay

We had a great stay at the place. We came down for a wedding and it was less than 10 minutes from the location. I recommend the market up the road for lunch.

Incredible space, amazing location

We had the best time at this incredible house- it had literally everything we could have needed and then some! Spotlessly clean, exactly as described, easy to get to, and so much to do! Best vacation rental we’ve ever had! Be sure to check out the Natural Bridge General Store just around the corner!

Natural Bridge

Melvin and Phyllis were great. The house was well stocked and had everything we needed. Very tranquil setting and close to many sites and great hikes. We'll definitely be coming back.

Family gathering

The home was fantastic! Very clean and plenty of room for everyone. Conveniently located near many attractions including the Natural Bridge State Park, hiking trails, and near the James River. The game room was also great for days when the weather wasn't ideal or late night entertainment. The host were amazing to work with, and answered all questions timely. We look forward to coming back!

Family Thanksgiving gathering

Our family had a wonderful stay! The property is accommodating for grandchildren to great grandparents. The children enjoyed playing outside in the leaves and playing games in the downstairs game room. The kitchen is the most well equipped of any VRBO weve stayed at. We prepared a delicious feast for lunchtime and again for supper. Food, fun, and fellowship......a good time was had by all!!! The property is clean and well furnished and was decorated for the fall season. Thank you for making our family's gathering very special!

Perfect country getaway

This house was perfectly located off the highway far enough for peace and quiet, but close enough to get to and from. Did a lot of sightseeing from the Natural Bridge to Roanoke to Lexington and beyond. Highly recommend for a family as there are several rooms to choose from. The yard is beautiful in the morning, perfect to enjoy a cup of coffee. Had all the Things we needed and house was very clean and cozy. Definitely would recommend and stay here again!

We have lived in this area all our lives. We have admired the house and the setting for years. We never dreamed we would someday own it! When the chance came to buy, we were delighted to be able to make the purchase. It was a dream come true!

It is a beautiful house and we have furnished it with love. The former owners took good care of it and we are carrying that tradition forward and striving to make it even better!

The close proximity to such great adventurous, historical, geological, and magical spaces make it a natural as a vacation rental!

George Washington and Thomas Jefferson, two of our greatest founding fathers, have walked these same landscapes and were awed by them. As well, many people from around the world have been attracted to, and visited this beautiful spot. Their curiosity is well-founded!

Here, the Shenandoah Valley narrows in this special place, bringing two ancient mountain ranges close to provide breathtaking views! This landscape cradles special, river-rich, inspiring natural geological spaces for all of us to treasure and enjoy! Do not miss this journey!

Lovely landscaping with gazebo, large deck with roll-out gate to keep small children and pets contained, wheelchair ramp, pool table, ping pong table, electronic exercise bike, and large family room, spacious kitchen, living room, & dining room.

All new furniture, mattresses, bedding and towels, bought in 2020. Clean, comfortable, sanitary, and restful!
