Stunning!

Wonderful property in an idyllic location. The views from the property are just incredible. Communication from the owner was outstanding and made everything very easy. The communal swimming pool was great. Would highly recommend this place!

Priorat wine country

A wonderful time. the house was very warm and inviting after a couple of day trips to the wineries, we enjoyed dinner and wine on that beautiful porch with that amazing view. thoroughly enjoyed it and would very much recommend it.

Beautiful Property in quiet village

Very comfortable apartment with beautiful patio. Good accommodation, well stocked, nice bath towels, smart TV. Great wineries and dining nearby. Recommend picking up grocery supplies in Falset; nothing open past 3pm in La Vilella Baixa.

Home Base for touring Priorat

Only stayed a couple nights but this place was great. Views from the patio were spectacular. Host was very attentive and we had no issues. This small town was a great contrast from Barcelona, where we also visited. There is great food and wine throughout this region. Roads are small and curvy so I’m glad we didn’t rent a car. Took a train from Barcelona to Marca Falset station and hired a driver (Ferran from Taxi Priorat) to do the rest. An amazing experience. Thanks for hosting us.

Het was een fijne accommodatie, schoon en netjes en alles is aanwezig. Het uitzicht is fantastisch, er zijn mooie wandelmogelijkheden door de wijnterrassen. Goede restaurants in de omgeving. helemaal top.

Hidden gem in Catalonia

Iolanda was very helpful and communicative. Loved this small town with lots of character and our family wouldn’t have visited if we hadn’t found this place on VRBO. Amazing views as you can see from the photos. It was a wonderful location to get off the beaten path and away from everything to relax for a few days. The house was located very close to a parking area - but don’t try to drive your rental car through the town!

Lovely house in a beautiful, quiet location

In general we really loved our stay at the house. The property could do with some minor updates but overall is well equipped and comfortable. The views from the balcony/patio area are stunning as is the whole Priorat region. The village is peaceful and full of character. Some of the streets are very steep so maybe not suitable for people with limited mobility. Also, if you are thinking of using the municipal pool be aware that it is a fair walk away (you can drive but it's down a very narrow track), probably about 10 minutes, but it is a really good pool. The local people are friendly even though English is not widely spoken. Iolanda is a great host, very friendly and helpful but also respectful of our privacy (she lives in the house next door). The social club in the village seems to be open most nights for cheap drinks and basic food (pizzas, wraps etc). Two shops in the village provide nearly all the groceries you need and there are several wineries too - the local wine is superb. The surrounding villages are similarly quaint and quiet and the mountains of the Montsant range are stunning. The town of Falset is about 30 minutes' drive away with more facilities (including a Spar and a petrol station). There are some interesting places nearby such as the monastery at Escaladei and the Siurana reservoir, which is great for safe, wild swimming. Tarragona is an hour's drive away and worth a visit too.

Charming, characterful house with a stunning view

Perfect place to stay in Priorat and sample all of the fine local produce while relaxing on the terrace and surveying the view of vineyards & olive groves below. The view is simply stunning!! The house is well equipped and if the heat gets too much the A/C is excellent. La Vilella Baixa itself is lovely, there are walks to do from the village and the local stores have a good range of food and wine. Would recommend!

traumhaft schöne Lage, das Dorf und ihre Menschen sind etwas ganz Besonderes

Wir haben 1 Woche in einer bis ins kleinste Detail liebevoll ausgestatteten Maisonette Ferienwohnung verbracht und haben uns von Anfang an zu Hause gefühlt. Die sehr große gemütliche Terrasse und der Blick auf die Berge sind unbeschreiblich schön. Wir wurden sehr herzlich durch Iolanda, Joana und ihrem Mann begrüßt. Wenn wir uns im Dorf getroffen haben, hat Joana sich immer nach unserem Wohl erkundigt. Das war sehr lieb von ihr! Wir haben uns mit ihrer Hilfe schnell im Dorf zurechtgefunden und konnten alle Annehmlichkeiten genießen: Café am Morgen im Cal Centro und am Abend ein kühles Getränk. Wir haben dort neben frischen Lebensmitteln auch tolle Ausflugstipps bekommen. Nebenan konnte man gleich frisches Brot für den nächsten Tag reservieren und auch dort mit der Verkäuferin immer ein nettes Gespräch führen. In der Bar/Cafe des Dorfes gab es super leckere selbstgemachte Pizzen. Ein Traum! Herzliche Grüße an Carmen und all die lieben Leute, die dort arbeiten. Nicht zu vergessen das tolle Schwimmbad im Dorf. Auch hier haben wir gute Tipps erhalten und einen netten Gesprächspartner gehabt. Schön ist auch, dass man die Dorfgemeinschaft immer wieder trifft und sich heimisch fühlen kann. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen und vermissen jetzt schon die katalanische Lebensart!! Muchas gracias a toda la gente muy amable. Adeu!

Séjour de 15 jours dans cet agréable petit village. La Vilella est reposant, on y trouve une épicerie, 1 bar tabac qui vend de tout et notamment bonne charcuterie ... La maison est conforme à la description. Vue de la terrasse est à couper le souffle. La climatisation était La bienvenue. Si je devais améliorer quelque chose ce serait La literie. La piscine municipale est amplement suffisante avec un bar (boisson, glace..) et des abonnements à la semaine. La Vilella est le départ de beaucoup de chemins de randonnée. Paul vous présentera la maison, il est totalement disponible pour toutes vos questions mention spéciale pour lui !!! Mais non loin de ce village, La ville de Falset est là avec des médecins (même le dimanche), un supermarché Sampar largement suffisant, des commerces de proximité.... Nous pensions nous ennuyer un peu mais non on a vécu à l'heure du village avec des journées matin piscine, sieste, am piscine ...

Hem passat 4 dies fantàstics al Priorat. La zona és preciosa i la casa de la Iolanda pràctica i bonica, la terrassa és una delícia amb vistes espectaculars. Pel que fa a temes logístics, la casa té de tot, està molt ben cuidada i neta. La interacció amb la Iolanda molt bé, ens ha facilitat tota la informació que necessitàvem i contestant amb molta rapidesa. Molt i molt recomanable!

Wonderfully peaceful location and beautiful setting

The house and its location fulfilled all the promises. We thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet of this little town La Vilella. The scenery was really stunning and enjoying the magnificent views from the house's terrace is unforgettable. If you want to get away from the busy daily life, this is really a great place to be. We enjoyed the absence of noise, hardly hearing anything but the relaxing sounds from the busy swallows and the odd person working his vinyard. This is a place to be coming back to. The only minor comments I would give are: we could have done with some extra wine glasses (only two glasses for a family of 4 - in the middle of the extraordinary Priorat wine region...) and also, the swimming pool was advertised on the website as 'communal' which we interpreted as having to share with owners or other vacationers not as the village's public pool meaning an extra 100 euro admission cost for the four of us for the two weeks of our stay. Anyway, overall a superb holiday in a fantastic region amidst warm and welcoming villagers. We immensely enjoyed our stay!

Nos ha encantado la casa, íbamos con unas expectativas muy altas después de ver las fotos y leer los comentarios por internet, pero claramente se vieron superadas por la realidad. Terraza y vistas increibles, la casa preciosa con las bigas de madera y ese ambiente de casa de pueblo de toda la vida, la atención de la propiedad exquisita. Totalmente equipada, fue como si estubieramos en nuestra casa. Tal que podamos repetimos, 100% recomendable.
