Imagine being enveloped in southern hardwoods. Every window (& there are many!) looks out on the trees.
Romantic...
Relax, cook, play games, watch movies, snuggle in & read a great book, or just get quiet. A fully equipped home w/ a Treehouse feel. Enter into a Tranquil zone, surrounded by 9 forested acres. Relax, breathe, & just be :). Large covered L-shaped porch. Colorful Bohemian influences throughout.
Open airy spaces. Music room w/ instruments. Serene yoga/meditation room on top floor
Very Well behaved pets are welcome ( up to 2 pets, including visiting pets. There is a one time “ Fur Fee” of $50 per pet, per visit. A third pet may be considered on an individual basis. The 3rd pet “ Fur Fee” is an extra $100 , as that is a lot of pet ;). Please let us know when booking how many pets will be accompanying you. Since VRBO only allows payment for one pet, extra “ Fur Fees” are typically paid after booking.

Excellent getaway weekend!

My son, brother, and nephew met at this beautiful spot in the Georgia mountains to get a couple days away from work and college. Winton was great and gave us great recommendations for dining and hiking. We had a great time hiking the area and catching up around the fire pit. The night was just cold enough to make it perfect!

OUTSTANDING

By far, my most favorite cabin and I have stayed in a lot of cabins all over the southeast. From the exceptional cleanliness, the decor, the peacefulness and comfort, it is absolutely perfect!!!! I look forward to going back as soon as possible.

Winton grew up in North Atlanta.... spent the last twenty years living on the Appalachian Trail (AT) in the North Georgia Mountains.

Mountain Crossings was his store, the shop catered to the hikers, tourist and wandering souls along the Appalachian Trail @ Neels Gap, below Blood Mountain. The AT literally went through my building. In 2010, Winton, published his first book called "Just Passin Thru: A Vintage Store, the Appalachian Trail, and a Cast of Unforgettable Characters" - the book garnished several awards across the country and is available online and in audio.

The books HUGE success sent Winton down another path, writing, speaking and living life. In 2014, he sold the business, invested in real estate in Hilton Head and started a new adventure by the sea.

Today Winton & Lisa split their time between the mountains, sea and wherever the wind blows them.... and spend much of their days in the arts.... writing, metal, acrylics... as well as traveling towards whatever epic adventure tickles the two gypsy souls.
