Summary:
A quality constructed cottage nestled in the woods but very close to Palmer. This quiet 8 acre parcel is a rare find this close to Palmer while providing seclusion, quiet and privacy. The owners house is also located on the property and they are available to you throughout your stay. Forestlane Cottage 1 is a 5 star cottage on VRBO. Check out 5 star sister cottage: Forestlane Cottage 2 for a larger version of Cottage 1 or a possibility of booking both cottages.

The cottage is in the woods behind our house. there is a small quiet subdivision in back of the cottage and on either side of the cottage is surrounded by fields Palmer is 5 minutes away with grocery stores, restaurants and breweries.

Dishonest people. Advertised laundry and DID NOT HAVE IT on site. Gave us 100 to go to laundromat and promised but DID NOT give us a partial refund.Easy check in, kitchen has everything you need. Could use recycling bin.

Gorgeous cottage in heavenly location

We ❤️ our stay at this GORGEOUS cottage straight from a Disney fairytale! The cottage was impeccably kept. It was cleaner than my own home (and I'm bit of a neat freak). The owners though of EVERYTHING! Highly recommended!!

Home away from home

This cottage met all my expectations plus more. It was the most comfortable stay nestled in the woods away from people and noise. I looked forward to a peaceful sleep every night and a serene wake up every morning. The hosts were very friendly and attentive.

Awesome place to Stay!!!

We absolutely loved this place! It was so clean and comfortable! The owners, who are very hospitable and available right on the property are great people! This cabin appears to have a lot of thought and special attention to detail with warm and cozy towels, sheets and blankets. The porch was also a great and relaxing place to drink coffee in the morning. We really recommend this place and would definitely stay here again!

Great stay for 1st time in Alaska

Vanessa and Rob were excellent hosts. The location was great, right in the middle of everything for sightseeing. The cabin was cute, cozy and comfortable. It had everything we needed. I loved the reviews and pics when I first started looking, I booked my first 3 nights and our last 3 nights there in our 10 night stay. I would recommend this location to anyone

Great cabin

Nice little cabin, nestled in the woods not so far from civilization, but yet still close to towns and access to restaurants and grocery stores. (4 miles) The host were very nice and easy to get a hold of. We had no problems with anything. It was a very nice 7 day stay.

Cottage in the woods

This was our first stay at this property. It is all a cottage in the woods would be. Charming, well decorated, very clean,had all you would need for your stay. Fire pit and wood provided if you wanted to sit by the fire. Close to Palmer if you need supplies or dinner out, easy to find with the owners great directions. Rob and Vanessa were very accommodating and I would stay there again

The place was outstanding, extra little details that make your stay even better. We arrived earlier than expected because I wasn’t feeling well, we planned on just hanging out in the car until it was time to check in but the owners seen us and so graciously let us in early. This was a perfect little cabin in the woods my only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer

Awesome cabin

The cabin is awesome. It has everything you need. We didn’t get to meet Rob as he was out of town working but Vanessa was very helpful to us. And she was gracious enough to let my wife play with her dogs. If we ever get back that way we will definitely stay with them again.

Very comfortable cabin

The cabin was comfortable, clean and convenient. Vanessa and Rob were such great hosts. Excellent communication and helpful in all aspects. The cabin is small but perfect for a couple. The only minor difficulty was the main road to the property was a challenge during a snow/windstorm but that was not something anyone has any control if. The hosts did keep their driveway clear.

Another lovely stay

This was the second time I stayed in one of Rob's and Vanessa's cottages in Palmer. The cottage is just the perfect size for me as a solo traveler. Like the other, slightly bigger cottage, this one is decorated with a lot of attention for details. Vanessa certainly knows what is needed. Everything is available for a pleasant stay, a well equipped kitchen, a clean bathroom stocked with all the essentials one needs. The bedroom is nicely decorated with a bed big enough to sleep two very comfortably. Just to provide you with a very brief description of the floor plan: you enter the cottage into the combined kitchen living area. The kitchen faces the entrance door. To the right two nice armchairs and a coffee table provide a nice seating area. A folding table is available as well, if needed. A corridor connects the living area with the bedroom and the bathroom which is to the left. The bathroom features a shower and a vanity with a mirror large enough for what ever is needed, brushing your teeth, shaving or taking care of your hairstyle. For those of you who might be concerned about heating in the long and at times fierce Alaska winters, it was always cozy and one will not have to fear to have to stay in a cold little cabin. On top of all, Rob and Vanessa are very caring hosts. In short and to wrap it up; for me it's the place to stay whenever I am in Palmer.

This was a last minute find for just one night and we were extremely pleased with this little cottage. It was a great location and we felt we were "in the woods". Everything was so easy and had we not already had reservations somewhere else we would have stayed another night! Highly recommend this as a couples retreat. :)

Loved the location tucked away in the woods, yet minutes from both Palmer and Wasilla. The cottage was super clean and well stocked with towels, blankets, etc. Hosts were easy to reach if needed and made check in and check out super easy. The only drawback was not having a freezer in the mini fridge and just a toaster oven and microwave for heating food.
