Incredible

I wish i could go back tomorrow. M/M Lawrence were incredibly gracious and accommadating with our stay in their beautiful house. It is in a perfect, private location, with a beautiful lake beach and plenty to toys and things to keep young children busy. My wife and I took my mother and father in law, and our two children under 6 and it was the perfect amount of space. With the lake beach, there is plenty to keep you at the house all day but its also a quick drive to some beautiful towns as well.

Perfect for families

We had a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The house was laid out to easily manage a group; the kitchen was fully furnished; there were toys, books, and games for children; the beach and water depth were perfect for young children; and the setting was serene and beautiful. We highly recommend this property.

Getaway on the lake

We had a great time on our trip to Alburgh. This home was a great place for our family to enjoy some time together and relax. We enjoyed the sandy beach, the beautiful breezes coming off the lake, and evening campfires after dinner. The house is well outfitting and we did not have to bring much other than our food supplies and personal items. Our trip to the Sand Dunes State Park was a nice day out as well. Thank you again for having us at your home.

Gorgeous lake home

We enjoyed a wonderful family vacation- perfect setting for children and adults. The owners provide everything you need to enjoy lake activities. The kitchen is beautiful - a fun place for cooking together! Fantastic place to relax!

We loved the lakeside setting. Great birdwatching. Kitchen had everything we needed. Enjoyed our meals on the screened-in porch with lake a tree views.

A spectacular home with a private beach

We cannot say enough about this property. Michelle and Bob were wonderful hosts and promptly answered all questions before and during our stay. The home is gorgeous and comfortable. The beach is unparalleled in cleanliness, privacy and fun. I would recommend this place to everyone.

Wonderful lake house experience

What a beautiful and well-maintained property! The owners are fantastic to work with and the home is even more gorgeous than the pictures. We had a fantastic time grilling, kayaking, and enjoying the breathtaking lakeside view. This is also a great rental for families, as the home also has an interesting array of children’s books, games, and toys for kids of all ages. We will definitely plan on staying, again!

Great last minute get away

Michelle’s house is beautiful... Felt like a home, not a rental. We enjoyed the quiet location and the property was beautiful. Wish the border was open because Canadian border is right there! Hopefully will be able to get back in the future!

Lovely family holiday

It was our second time staying in the property and we enjoyed it thoroughly. We appreciated the beds in the loft which gave the younger guests a separate place to sleep in so they were not disturbed. The home has every amenity that we needed to cook elaborate meals, grill and enjoy the lake. The water was shallow and the swimmers amongst us had to go in quite a bit to swim. Water was very clean. Allof us had a great time and we made excellent memories second time around.

Family vacation

We had a great week in Vermont. The house is absolutely amazing, with everything we needed inside and out. The kitchen is great, well stocked plus they have a gas grill on the deck. Breakfasts and dinners in the screen porch were wonderful. The kids enjoyed kayaking on the lake and bonfires on the beach at night. We look for to coming back again!

Things don’t always go as planned...

What a week! Our lakeside dream vacation did not start as planned (no fault of the property or owners). Our youngest took a nasty fall within minutes of our arrival. It’s always good to see the local emergency room and hospital 🤪. Once back at the house we spent a glorious week convalescing lakeside and taking in the healing views. Our son loved being out on the water and with hundreds of feet of shallow water we never worried. The house had everything we needed for cooking great meals and spreading out so everyone could relax. The breezes were constant, the sunset kayak sessions amazing and watching the heron’s on the lake was so entertaining. Michelle and her whole family went above and beyond and ensured our every need was met. From the delicious mixed berry pie that greeted us (I recommend eating it for breakfast), to restaurant recommendations (we highly recommend the Creamies from Gino’s over the bridge) and even an unexpected car ride. When you are in an unfamiliar location and experience an accident it can feel very overwhelming. Knowing that we had Michelle and her family as support made us feel so much better. We are very grateful that our daughter is ok, that the University of Vermont has a fantastic Trauma Center and staff, and that Michelle and her family were so helpful and attentive during our stay. What could have been a disaster turned out to be a wonderful vacation with lots of special memories.

Great Lake house

Great house for a relaxing getaway with family. The house was very nice and the views were beautiful. We really appreciated how clean and well stocked it was. They have lots of watercraft and the lake was perfect for family fun. It was everything you would want for a lake vacation.

Beautiful spot

This house is fantastic. It has a great set-up, is well stocked and the outside can’t be beat. This house made for the perfect, relaxing week, catching up with friends. We spent tons of time in the water, using the kayaks and SUP that were provided. The homeowners were thoughtful and easy to communicate with. The screened in porch is a wonderful place to enjoy a lazy breakfast. I would highly recommend staying at this property.

Just what we were looking for!

This house was great for our family- clean, beautiful and had everything we needed. The lake was beautiful and perfect for all ages. We took the kayaks, canoes, floats and paddle board out almost everyday. We took day trips to Montreal and Burlington. It was such a peaceful vacation which is what we needed.

Fantastic Lake Champlain Getaway!

The owners are very welcoming and responsive to all inquiries. The house is spacious and can meet the needs of a larger group easily. We enjoyed kayaking and paddle boarding, and relaxing on the back deck while our three boys played in the sand. The house is remote enough to get away from it all, but close enough for Vermont day trips to see some sights. The lovely welcome basket made us feel right at home.

Great Girl’s Week!

Beautiful well stocked home with everything you’ll need for your stay. Very private with room to roam. With water toys, canoe, kayaks and paddle board, all you have to do is bring the food and settle in.

Beautiful lake home nestled on private peninsula

Our family greatly enjoyed our stay at your beautiful lake house. Your home was very inviting and spacious. The views of the lake were plentiful. The private beach was perfect for the kids who really enjoyed the shallow waters and all of the amenities the house included such as wake board, Kayaks, canoe, fishing, and swimming. The house was very close to parc safari just over the board in Canada which was a fun filled day for the kids. Also took road trips to Burlington, Vt Teddy bear, Green Mountain Coffee, and of course Ben and Jerrys Ice cream. Thanks again for sharing your beautiful home!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at your beautiful lake house. It was very open and spacious and had everything we would ever need. The children could walk out and play in the lake for at least 100 yards. The water was warm and there was a huge beach area for playing volleyball and other beach games. We hope we are able to return next year for another amazing week at Lake Champlain.

Excellent house on a lake!!!!!!

We have rented many properties through VRBO/HA from Maine to Florida and California, from lakes and oceans to national parks and we can say this house stands out for sure. All the comforts of home and boy is this home beautiful and unique. I never grew tired of admiring the post and beam craftsmanship or the lake view, both beautiful! Plenty of toys (kayaks, SUPs, etc.) to keep everyone busy. The water was really warm in mid-August, so we often went out to the deeper part for hours to hang and play in the water. Michelle was great to deal with and took the time to talk to me and assure me the property was right for us. Although we didn't need anything, I felt comfortable knowing she (or her nearby relatives) were there to help if needed. This home (it felt more like a home than a rental) is worth paying the higher price than some others listings, it felt huge, has a gourmet kitchen and we were welcomed with a welcome basket packed with local goodies. Just what we needed to get away from our crazy lives for week. An hour from Montreal made a day trip there easy. And be sure to visit the "fromagerie" (cheese maker) only 15 minutes away. You won't regret renting this place, if you can find an open week.

Great house on a great property!!!

The views from the porch or anywhere on the back of the house are just awesome. We loved that you can just jump on a kayak and go. The water is shallow for hundreds of yards which the only negative would be you can't get a boat in there as we were going to try to rent one for the week, but it was still great. The set up of the house is perfect with nice big kitchen and lots of windows as it should for the views. Great location for us too! Would definitely return!

The Top of the Lake

Wonderful, wonderful rental property. The home itself is wonderfully comfortable and spacious, with multiple areas to "hang out", including an awesome 3 season screened in room we ate nearly every meal in. The location is simply sublime - overlooking an expansive part of Lake Champlain looking due south, the green mountains to the East, the Adirondacks to the West. The water was great - one can walk out hundreds of yards on a nice sandy bottom. Other than one other home nearby there were no other homes, with a mile of undeveloped shore to the East. Would I go back there - absolutely and unequivocally - a wonderful place!
