This was an awesome and simple trip for my Family the accomadations were perfect the fire Pit campfire telling stories was just wonderful I would recommend this to large families very spacious. The host was awesome

Great place for a family reunion

We had a great time! Lots of place for kids to play, lots of rooms to spread out through to keep noisy activities separate, host was very responsive.

Great for big groups!

My family enjoyed staying in this large comfortable house. The log cabin was an extra bonus so we had plenty of room. Hot tub and fire pit also great features!

Best weekend!

My friends and I had an amazing weekend at this property. Barry is so nice and accommodating, and made this process incredibly easy. The property is absolutely beautiful and we had an amazing time. I will definitely be staying at this beautiful property again!

This review was a mistake and the guest wrote to us and VRBO the following two emails regarding the error. Barry and Skylar, There is a review on your website from "Sharon b" that has your house rated a "2 Terrible"! That i 100% a mistake! We very much enjoyed our state and would very likely want to come back. I can't explain how that happened, but it is an error. Can you delete it and I will be happy to give you a review. Honestly, I don't recall even providing a review! If there is a Vrbo contact, please pass this along. Dear Vrbo, The review you have for “Sharon b” is an error! I would have never rated this house a “2”. We had a wonderful experience and would love to return in the future. Please remove this review, and kindly resend me the review rating so this can be set straight. Not only did this guest write VRBO about the error, but we spent over an hour on the phone with them and even with her two emails they did not fix the problem right away. This is an error caused by VRBO and it should have been removed immediately. We are working diligently to have VRBO correct this error.

Great Two House Setup!

We really enjoyed our stay here at 51 & 55 Estates! Beautiful wooded area, surrounded by wildlife, made it a very enjoyable and peaceful stay. We came for a golf trip and the courses in the area were really nice Barry & Skylar were great hosts and attended to any needs that happen to arise. A bonus was that the property had plenty of beds and two hot tubs for use. I would highly recommend this property for any family or friends trip!

The kids loved the game room. The adults loved the living space! Plenty of room for all of us. Short walk to the lake! Deer all around. Good times!!

New Years holiday

Very large group of friends and family stayed at large house and a cabin to celebrate New Years holiday! Very nice house, has everything to comfortably host 20+ people. Hot tub outside is amazing and great way to relax.

Amazing Fall getaway

It was my husband’s 40th birthday getaway and we had family and friends come together ranging from 9 months old to 70 years old. Everyone LOVED the location and home. We stayed in the main house and cabin and it was more than enough space to spread out and the kids loved the outdoors and game room. No complaints, we would definitely book with Barry again! Great communication and clean homes.

Lots of fun things to do

My mother, brothers, sisters in law and our kids stayed in the main house and cabin. There were 13 of us including a bunch of teens and early 20 year olds. It was perfect for us. Plenty of room for us to be together and play board games that we brought, cards with poker chips that were in the house, and all the wonderful big games that were in the house like pop a shot, shuffleboard, and pool. There was also plenty of room for us to have privacy. We saw tons of deer and even a bear, who had no interest in us at all, but gave everyone a bit of a thrill. The hosts were extremely responsive and everyone agreed they would stay in the house again.

End of Summer Trip

(This review was written while sitting at dinner with everyone who attended the trip from 8/20 -8/27) Even before we got to the house for the trip, Barry and his son Skylar (who I kept in communication with theoughout the week) were very helpful with meeting the needs of my friends and I. While this was an end of the summer trip for us, we also use the space to record and write music for our brand and this space was perfect for that. It was spacious enough that we did not feel crowded among each other, but also still close enough that we didn’t feel far away from each other. Everyone was happy to have had a comfortable bed to sleep in. Also, his property manager Renee was also very helpful stopping by and giving us information on the area and things to do. All of my friends and I agreed that we would absolutely love to rent from Barry and Skylar again.

Great for family reunion

We reserved both houses next door to each other for a large family reunion. The kitchen and outdoor space of the larger house was able to accommodate 20 people for group meals, and it was easy to keep the kids entertained between the beach (walkable!), bike riding, Pac man, and playing in the large circular drive. Houses did not look like they had been cleaned when we checked in (visible dirt on carpets and garbage still in the trashcans inside). The hosts were so responsive and helpful throughout on other issues that I am sure they would have sent someone to clean if we had asked, but we were already there and it seemed easier to just clean it ourselves than wait. Not a great start, but otherwise the properties were both great and had everything we needed for a large group long weekend.

We would call the cleaning issue an outlier as our cleaning service normally leaves the houses in great condition and you are correct that we would have had someone over there right away to remedy any issue if you had let us know.
