Lazy Maple Cabin on Charleston Lake

Introducing The Lazy Maple, our most private cabin, perfect for guests who enjoy their own space and the tranquility of nature. This charming, rustic cabin features a rough-sawn pine interior, three bedrooms with a total of four beds, and a spacious deck nestled under mature maple trees, offering a stunning view of the lake.

Our guests enjoy shared use of kayaks, and SUPs (stand up paddle boards) during their stay. Fishermen are welcome to enjoy our fishing kayak.

Boat/trailer parking is available for guests with their own boats pending availability. Please contact us prior to booking to confirm availability as dock space is limited. Boats are launched just down the road (3min drive) at the public boat launch on Burma lane, and guest boats are docked at our east dock. Trailer parking is located on site in our designated trailer parking area.

Bed linens are provided. Guests will need to bring their own towels.

A portable air conditioning unit, fans, warm blankets and heaters are provided for your comfort. However, please note that this is a centuries-old seasonal cabin and extreme temperatures will be felt.

Pets are welcome, but must be registered and paid for at the time of booking.

You will be contacted via Charleston Lakeside Retreat’s secure reservation system to provide your credit card for a $350 damage/incidental deposit hold, guest details, ID and rental agreement signature. This information is required at the time of booking. Incomplete reservations are subject to cancelation.

Spent 3 nights in the lovely pet-friendly cabin on the quiet lake; it was the perfect retreat for me, my friend and my small dog. The property is clean and functional, everything as advertised. My only small caveat is that cellphone data is very intermittent, so it would be a good idea to make sure you download your check-in information before you arrive, as you might not be able to access it in the moment.

This cottage was listed as their most private cottage which is only true if neighbouring cottages to Charleston Lake Retreat are not taken into account. The next cottage was only feet away from bedroom which only had a sheer curtain on the window. Not what I would consider private. The front door which also faced the neighbour had no curtain. Inside the Lazy Maple we could clearly hear conversations from their deck. I would not recommend this cottage.

We had such a great stay in this lovely cute cottage this weekend! The place was clean, peaceful, with cozy vibes. Located in a quiet location, surrounded by nature and a great lake view, yet close enough to local stores and attractions. A perfect spot to relax and recharge. The host, Colin was quick to communicate and absolutely pleasant and helpful. Everything was as described with clear instructions.We truly enjoyed our stay and certainly recommend this lovely place to everyone.Thank you Colin and Angela!

We stayed at this lovely cottage for three nights and had a wonderful experience. The setting was peaceful and quiet—perfect for a relaxing getaway. The cottage was spotless and well-maintained, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We spent our days fishing, kayaking, and swimming, all just steps from the door. A great spot to unwind and enjoy nature. Highly recommended.

The cabin was cozy and clean and perfect for our family Thanksgiving weekend.

Hosts were fantastic for a great stay. Everything we needed was there. We all enjoyed the fishing and the fire pit and the Lansdowne community was very welcoming. Charleston Lake was easy to find. General store across the street. All of the family enjoyed the location and being outdoors. Thank you Angela and Colin. We will come again.
