Chalet Idyll with jacuzzi, close to the ski slopes and city, charges included

We are happy to welcome you to our cosy Chalet Idyll, which is located in Gérardmer, a wonderful little French town with its beautiful lake, ski-station and surrounding mountains.

The chalet has 75m2 of living space and can accommodate up to 6 people and a baby. Ideally situated on the coteau de la Rayée, you will be just 800 m from the alpine ski slopes and 1 km from Gérardmer city center, in a peaceful area away from the road and next to the forest.

The chalet has a spacious living area with a living room, dining area and a fully equipped kitchen with all the appliances you will need (oven, hob, dishwasher, water boiler, coffee machine, toaster, raclette grill, barbecue, fridge with freezer, washing machine and dryer).

Upstairs are 3 bedrooms; two with double beds and one with 2 single beds. There are also 2 bathrooms, one with shower and the other with a bathtub/shower combination. Bedlinens and towels are provided and included in the price.

The chalet is fully equipped for children with games, toys, books, slides for the winter, and baby essentials (travel cot, booster seat, baby bouncer, changing table, baby bathtub, safety gate).

The chalet is heated thanks to a heat pump (air conditioning in summer, heating in winter) and a wood-burning stove for a warm and inviting winter ambiance.

Outdoor amenities

- a roof covered jacuzzi heated all year round for a relaxing break in any season
- 3 private parking spaces. An electric outlet (3,7kW) for electric cars is available under the carport.
- a garden shed with lock for storing skis, bikes, stroller, etc
- a terrace with lounge chairs, a dining area and a charcoal barbecue to enjoy during summer.

Included in your stay

All utilities ( electricity, water, wifi) as well as bedlinens, towels and end of stay housecleaning, is included in the total price.

We live only a few minutes from the chalet. We are therefore quickly available for any help or assistance if needed and would be happy to give advice about places to see and visit.

Chalet above the valley

Perfect for a family holiday by the lake

We were greeted very warmly at the chalet, which was well equipped with everything we needed. Even toys for small children, which were much appreciated for rainy days. The recommendations for things to do in the area were very helpful. We had a great time, thank you for hosting us!

Great chalet, super facilities, extremely nice host

We had a super nice weekend at the chalet. Handover to us by Mrs. Franke was super warm and very professional. Ms. Francke has explained everything to us and already answered in advance all questions about the booking. We felt very comfortable. The location is top and we enjoyed the stay very much. We will be happy to come back again!

Fantastic house and close to the skiingslopes

We had a really good time, it was clean, had everything you need and the owner was really nice, helpful and informative. The house itself was modern but cozy with a charming norwegian touch. The jacuzzi was nice and for a comfortable use designed for about 3 persons but can be used by more. It was maybe 800m to the ski-slopes, so easy to reach by foot or with the car. Thank you Siri for this time! :)

Family short vacation

Wonderful short vacation in Geradmer in a super beautiful and optimally equipped chalet. The contact with the landlord was a dream. Siri is a very charming and absolutely generous landlady. She is regarding the requirement of a stay with our almost 3-month-old granddaughter optimally entered and had all equipment such as crib, changing unit and bath already provided on site. I can not praise this chalet and the landlady highly enough. We come back with pleasure.

Fabulous and faultless a great place and super host.

The chalet was fantastic, brilliantly equipped with everything we needed, right down to the thoughtful extras like slippers. Great location, with a fabulous view from the secluded rear decking for eating our meals alfresco. Very clean and cozy, hot tub was hassle free, internet was good too. We MUST give a special mention to the host Siri, she was really helpful and approachable from the start, and super friendly and accommodating. She speaks several languages including very good English, so we were able to communicate without any problems and she helped us with some translations, local knowledge, advice and suggestions. Really recommended for families as she has everything you could need for a young family stay, as well as older children. This seems to be an undiscovered gem of a place (by the British) don’t be shy, give it a try. We were new to this region of France, and it was fabulous. The Chalet was perfect for exploring the local area, and further afield too. Stunning walks in the many mountains, lake swimming, and action sports too. This was an active holiday for us but we could as easily just relaxed too.

Wir waren eine Woche im Chalet Idyll. Der Name ist auf jeden Fall Programm.Wir haben nichts gefunden, das nicht perfekt war. Sauberkeit, Lage, Ausstattung...Ein besonderes Highlight ist der Whirlpool und die Holzterrasse, aber auch das ganze Haus ist einfach toll.Siri als Gastgeberin war unglaublich freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir haben so etwas tolles und nettes selten erlebt.Vielen Dank an Siri, dass wir im Chalet sein durften, wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!!
