Great place

Cabin fever as perfectly suited as a base to explore Gros Morne. Beautiful view , especially for sunsets) and close to everything in town.

Beautiful sunsets

This is the perfect place to stay in Rocky Harbour. The porch looks out over the water, and gave us a view of stunning sunsets. It's a quiet area, and a short drive to Gros Morne for hiking. We would definitely stay here again.

Great visit

The Blackfin was just right for us for our trip to Gros Morne. We had everything we needed and the location was beautiful. Great to be able to do some laundry as well.

Lovely property

Beautiful location. Easy drive to various trails in Gros Morne. Everything was perfect; quiet neighbourhood; and beautiful property on the water with all the amenities of home. Hope to come again.

Perfect location to enjoy Gros Morne

Cozy accommodations with easy access to park trails. Walk down to the shoreline/lookout in front of the house for sunsets or morning coffee. Groceries are 10 minute walk away.

The Blackfin Is A Win!

Perfect would be the word to describe our stay in Rocky Harbour. The accommodation is roomy, bright, modern and extremely clean. Communication with the host was cordial and timely. We highly recommend this property to everyone.

Lovely place

I really enjoyed this place. It had everything we needed. The sunsets were gorgeous. The location was great. The a/c worked well. The mattresses were comfortable too. The owner told us to stock up on groceries before coming. We did, but I wish we had brought more with us.

excellent accommodation

Very comfortable and well appointed. Everything you could want in every area, kitchen, living areas, bedrooms and bathroom. Even extra blankets/throws for sitting outside on a chilly evening. Very clean and ideal for a multi-day stay. Great location and beautiful views over the water (when the fog lifted)

Blackfin Beauty

The Blackfin is right in the heart of everything. Hiking trails are close by and easy to get to. The rental itself is fully equipped, warm and very homey. We could all see ourselves living there. Urve, our host is a lovely lady and a very talented glass artist. Everyone we met was so friendly and provided lots of info on things to see and do in town and beyond.

Incredible full-service home with artistic flare

Urve's Black Fin is a gorgeous and comfortable home with all the amenities you could need to enjoy the spectacular Gros Morne region. well laid out and thoughtful decorations elevate this space to the next level. I've started to acquire her incredible art to elevate my own space! Nothing more breathtaking than the sunset on the front deck.

Spring brings herring, minkes, mackerel, and even diving gannets to the harbour, lobster-fishers move about daily on the waters, and the wilderness of woods and mountains are close to hand. Come explore and enjoy the beauty of Gros Morne!

The wonderful private deck overlooking the water leads to a fire pit with comfy chairs to relax in by the reef where low tide beckons the intrepid to explore the rocky shoreline. This is the perfect place to relax after a day's activities, or just to come and relax. Equipped with a full kitchen and laundry facilities, The Blackfin makes those parts of your journey easy.
