Wonderful vacation property. We spent a week here and with the lodge and cabin, had plenty of room, bathrooms, and refrigerators to support our group. The lodge is beautiful and the cabin rustic, as described. The kitchen had everything we needed, we loved opening the windows for the fresh mountain air at night and having morning coffee on the deck, watching the occasional boat or seaplane go by. Ample yard space for games/running around, a dock for a rented boat, two small beaches for easy wading in the lake, and a fire pit. We caught fish right off of the dock! There are two ways to reach the lake, one offering stairs and the other a gently sloping yard for those with mobility challenges. To note - also plenty of trash cans, recycling bins, and parking areas, if you’ve ever traveled in a large group, these are very important! The town of Long Lake is so charming, we ate at a couple of the restaurants, the Adirondack Hotel was a group favorite, and tried the ice cream at both Custards Last Stand and The Park. It is over an hour to the nearest big grocery store so plan accordingly but we were able to pick up bait and some forgotten items at the two local stores in town.Host communication was amazing and check in/out was typical with tasks of towels in bathrooms/removing trash/clearing refrigerators. If our family vacation brings us to the area again, we would not hesitate to stay here a second time. Thank you!
