Great place to relax by the ocean

The space and location were fabulous in every way. You may want to stock up on groceries and gas on the way in since there's not much within a 20 minute drive. Loved our stay!

Vacation at Harbor Island

We enjoyed our stay at Turtle Villa. Be aware that the king bed frame protrudes 6" from the mattress, causing us many bruises.

The condo was very nice and updated! Parking is easy and we enjoyed the beach chairs for us to use. We couldnt enjoy the porch due to a Mama bird with a nest in the tree, she was not okay with us being out there, but thats okay nature is nature. Would recommend to anyone with kids!

Great stay near the water

We stayed for 5 nights at this property as we were playing in a nearby golf tournament. The complex is great. Quiet with plenty to do. Great view of the marsh and you can actually see out to the ocean. Being able to walk out to the beach was a special treat. The sunsets were spectacular and were a great way to end the day. Overall a very memorable stay.

Beautiful Villa

The sunset and sunrise were both so beautiful. The decor was perfect and the beds were very comfortable. Showers had great pressure and well designed.

Lovely Spot

Lovely location, short walk to the beach and pools, and a 5 minute drive to Hunting Island State Park. Great accomodation, great record collection! Walking along the beach on our final evening with dolphins surfacing along side us was the cherry on the cake!

Great stay!

Great stay at Harbor Island - steps away from the beach boardwalk and a very quick walk to the pool. Views of the marsh and beach. Condo was very clean and we enjoyed the games and record player. We will definitely be back!

Great Condo, Excellent Host

My wife and I found Turtle Villa to be clean, updated and well stocked just as it was advertised. We have stayed on Harbor Island many times in the past and love the area. Our host Sherry was simply the best we have experienced. We fully recommend this property.

Great Getaway

This is our second trip to Turtle Villa and we loved it. You can walk from the house to the beach and a bird estuary just a few hundred yards down the street. There’s a magnificent view of the marsh out the main room, and Hunting Island is just a few minutes down the road. The house itself is comfortable and well maintained. We hope to return again sometime.

Condo was great- would do it again!!!!

Sherry has an amazing place and it is decorated perfectly. Beautiful views, close to restaurants that are a must (shrimp shack and dockside) and … use the park pass she has. Hunting is the place to be. Fantastic value here all! Oh, and the big pool is perfect for gator watching ( no worries, they won’t getcha).

12 day vacation

The condo was terrific. The view over the marsh was spectacular. The kitchen was very well equipped and with heavy gauge pots. My only complaint ( and why I didn’t give it 5 stars) was the lighting. It was impossible to read in bed as the lights were too low and there was just one spot in living room where you could read.,

A perfect spot on the Coast!

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Sherry's condo. The condo has a fantastic view out on the marsh and ocean. There's a trail to the beach right out the door and Hunting Island is absolutely fantastic. We hadn't been to this area before and it's spectacular, such a lovely landscape filled with amazing wildlife. The condo itself was well appointed and Sherry was an extremely responsive host. We were already talking about when we might be able to plan our next trip to this condo as we drove home!

Turtle Villa Vacation

Our family enjoyed our week at Turtle Villa. The decor was excellent and the host provided everything we needed to make the trip enjoyable. Harbor Island is a quiet location, but the pass to Hunting Island is what makes this location. We went there every day. We would absolutely return. The only recommendations for the property are 1) more hooks are needed to hang up towels and bathing suits and 2) the television system was difficult to use and we lost signal frequently. 5 stars for sure.

St.Helena Stay

What a great place on a wonderful island. The condo was decorated beautifully and had everything we needed for our extended weekend stay. Just a suggestion, maybe have a darker curtain in the master bedroom. Now granted if you like being awoken by the sun rising then there is nothing wrong, but for some people like me that may like to get some more sleep, a darker shade would help with the sunlight as well as keep the temperature down. The owner was very responsive to all questions/inquiries and I will stay in this property again. On a scale of 1-10, it's a 12!!!

Ideal Lowcountry Vacation

My husband and I started our low country vacation at the beginning of April, soon to be followed by a visit from our 15 year old granddaughter, and then her Mom. Another quick break for just the two of us, and then joined by our youngest daughter and 9 year old grandson. Almost three weeks of pure bliss.Being familiar with the area, and fairly frequent visitors, we knew what to expect. What we didn't expect was a condo that was exactly as advertised. Everything you could possibly need was available and the condo was very clean. Being a little obsessive about cleanliness, I think this was the best I've encountered over the years.In addition, the host was so responsive and pleasant to deal with. I had an email change which VRBO tried to associate with my trip, but was unable to do so. The host emailed me at my new email, and gave me her cell phone. We also had to request two separate parking passes through the host, and everything worked out perfectly.We give our host and their property five stars, and hope to visit again soon.All of us found something fun to do every day

Nice place and great location

Quiet wide beach at low tide, good access to parks, included park pass, Beaufort, fish market, Port Royal. Deck was nice overlooking marsh. Pools were nice and island was nice. Updated and remodeled.

Turtle Vill-Amazing!

Fantastic property! The location was perfect for what we were looking for - a low key beach vacation and easy drives to Charleston and Savannah. We are a family of 5 and the condo was great - had everything we needed, was super clean and well-appointed. The comfy king bed was a HUGE bonus for the husband and I - was not overly squishy which you find in many rentals. We cooked 4 meals at the condo and had everything we needed. The condo's pool was also great - kids ended each day there. We spent each beach day at Hunting Island which may be one of my fav places ever. We took walks at night to Pelican Point. The wildlife did not disappoint. We saw a gator the first night on the beach and then under the boardwalk to the beach. We also saw turtles, frogs, crabs, dolphins, horseshoe crabs and even accidentally brought home a hermit crab in my pocket! We had ice cream at Barefoot Bubba's twice, watched a sunset from the marsh boardwalk, kayaked with Coastal Expeditions, spent a day in Charleston and half a day in Savannah (which I wish had been a full day - such a cool city!) Beaufort is also a super fun town. Cannot say enough good things about the property, its location and all the area has to offer!

Sunset beach

My friends and I had some glorious days staying here. We got up every morning and went out to see stars which were more visible because it's a dark beach for turtles. Then we stayed to watch the beautiful sunrises. It was a great condo for the four of us. We greatly enjoyed the nearby state park and the access to that. The beach isn't visible from the photos but is right around the corner. Would love to come back here every year!

Hello all and welcome! We are Sherry and Steve. We have been Airbnb hosting approximately 5 years and are very excited to share our space with you! First a little background. We are from the Appalachian foothills of north Georgia near Helen. However, we decided to try "Lake Life" and currently live on beautiful Lake Hartwell! Steve works in IT and I am in accounting. We have a daughter who is 29 and teaches College while pursuing her Doctorate. She is also recently married! We now have the best Son (in-law) who owns a Dental Practice! We love to travel, explore and take several small weekend RV trips per year and usually one longer trip—either a cruise or flight to some new faraway adventure. Over several decades this has allowed us to essentially “try-out” hundreds of beaches and little oceanside towns. After numerous RV trips to Hunting Island, we knew we liked the area very much. After visiting Harbor Island, and staying in one of the Villas, we knew we loved the area! In early 2020 we decided to officially put down roots in this hidden paradise and purchased a 2 bedroom beach-front condo—now affectionately known as "Turtle Villa".
