Amazing location just steps from the beach with an ocean view! Steps Away Cape Cod beach cottage is a great coastal location for families with children and couples too! The cottage is situated on a quiet cul-de-sac just across the street from Pleasant Beach in West Harwich. Guests love the privacy of the location and of course, the easy beach access. We have off-street parking so no more worries about beach parking stickers. Free WiFi and Cable + Roku streaming channels are provided.

Steps Away is a traditional New England-style beach cottage. The front patio enjoys a small cottage garden with wild roses, spiraea, honeysuckle, daylilies, Russian sage and fountain grass. Grab your sundowner and relax - you're in Cape Cod!

The cottage was originally built as a 1-bedroom cape with a picture window facing the ocean. A two-bedroom addition with a bay window was added later, forming two attached but separate & secluded suites. Each has a private entrance, separate yard and BBQ areas with picnic tables and charcoal grills. This listing includes both suites. The set-up is ideal for large families or two couples vacationing together.

The 600 sq. ft. Sea Breeze Suite has one bedroom and sleeps up to 3. The bedroom has a queen sleigh bed. The living area has a picture window with ocean view and contains a pull-out sleep sofa, dining area, TV with cable access and a Roku Streambar (includes Netflix, Amazon Video, Disney+ and Paramount+) plus a decorative fireplace. There’s an outdoor shower perfect for rinsing off after the beach. The galley kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, dishware and silverware. The kitchen includes a dishwasher. Your favorite spot may be the raised patio with ocean views of sailboats passing by - ideal for unwinding.

The 1100 sq. ft. Dune Suite has two bedrooms and sleeps up to 5. The suite has one large bedroom with a King sleigh bed and a set of bunks, and one small bedroom with single twin bed. There's a TV with Roku in the large bedroom. You'll have everything you need with a fully equipped galley kitchen, full bath plus additional half bath, living room/ dining room combination and pull-out queen sleep sofa. The living area has a TV with cable and Roku and a large bay window with an ocean view. There is a spacious backyard perfect for ball games, badminton and corn hole.

The cottage is situated on a 1/4 acre, just steps from the warm water of Nantucket Sound. We are the second house from the beach on a private cul-de-sac on Pleasant Road Beach. Our guests have access to the beach across the quiet road and up through our deeded right-of-way path. It’s a convenient and easy 1-minute walk to Pleasant Road Beach, ideal for families with children. The beach has clean, soft, white sand with gentle waves. It's the 'warm' side of the Cape without the dramatic low tides of the Bay side.

Pleasant Road Beach is a public, family-oriented beach with approximately 100 plus yards of natural shoreline. In addition to sunbathing, swimming, shell collecting and boogie-boarding, you can also stroll the water’s edge for approximately a mile in either direction. One can even walk past the breakwater to swim across the Herring River into Dennisport and back. The breeze is great for kite-flying and listening to the surf in the evening.

Steps Away is close to everything you'll need, but out of the mainstream resort traffic. Except for the grocery store, you never have to leave. If you desire more activity, we are minutes to restaurants, bike trails, golf, tennis, kayaking and more. There are nearby activities for children such as the trampolines, race cars, baseball cage and bumper boats.

Steps Away cottage has driveway parking for two cars, and a street spot directly in front of the house. No beach parking sticker is needed!
Please note, upon booking you will receive a link to our rental agreement, which much be signed in order to finalize your reservation. We are happy to share that we do not charge an up-front cleaning fee in order to provide value to our guests. We do expect guests to leave the property clean as they had found it. A simple and reasonable check-out list will be provided to you. Guest will be charged for any special or unreasonable cleaning needed.

No candles, smoking or open flames, except for the outdoor barbeque grill.

Parties and events are not allowed. The cottage is in a quiet neighborhood with no loud music or noise allowed after 10pm.
