Berrichonne character house

The house is located in a small hamlet of four houses, in a quiet valley, 3 km from the small town of Châteaumeillant, in the heart of the historic Berry region, which is now part of the Centre-Val de Loire region.

The cottage has been completely renovated. It offers all modern comforts while retaining many traditional features, such as exposed beams and a fireplace with a wood-burning stove. The large private garden is fully fenced and includes an above-ground pool that is 5.5 m in diameter. There are lounge chairs, deck chairs, a barbecue, and a patio where you can enjoy meals outdoors. The swing chair is perfect for relaxing.
The kitchen is modern and fully equipped. The open-concept living room features comfortable armchairs and a television. The three bedrooms are bright and spacious. One bedroom has a king-size bed, and the others are furnished with single beds. A travel crib, a baby crib, and a high chair are available if needed. The bathroom includes a large bathtub with a shower. There is an additional shower room at the bottom of the stairs.

The property is located on the Camino de Santiago, with many marked trails nearby. The setting is particularly popular with hiking and biking enthusiasts.
For water sports, you can head to Lake Sidialles, where you can rent canoes or boats. There’s also a sandy beach, a supervised swimming area, and a huge tree-top adventure course with ropes and zip lines.
In the surrounding area, you can go horseback riding, play golf, or go fishing. You can also visit castles, medieval churches, and beautiful gardens.
In the summer, there are local markets and flea markets every weekend in the surrounding villages.
During your stay, you can also explore the vineyards of Châteaumeillant and take part in a wine testing.
