A charming, authentic 19th-century traditional house steeped in history (formerly the village inn and clog-making workshop), fully restored and lovingly transformed into a peaceful retreat, nestled at the foot of an elegant, listed 11th-century Romanesque church, in the heart of a delightful, typical little village perched on a gentle, south-facing hill, offering panoramic views. The village is overlooked by a majestic and remarkably well-preserved medieval fortress dating from 1056 (a privately owned, listed historical monument). Peace and tranquility abound, nestled on the edge of a bucolic pasture, next to the village's renowned restaurant, located along a quiet country lane. Magnificent surroundings, nestled in the heart of the unspoiled countryside of northern Charolais (largely protected as a ZNIEFF area for its rich fauna and flora), in the hollow of a vast, rolling plateau of wooded meadows (home to the famous Charolais cattle in season), a peaceful landscape combining agriculture and nature, dotted with fields, rivers, ponds, and small forests (perfect for relaxing walks or mountain biking). The cottage offers excellent comfort. Spacious and bright, it boasts a warm country feel with contemporary touches. A zen and tranquil atmosphere. Full of charm.
