Country house from the early 20th century, carefully restored on the edge of the vineyard in the heart of the superb Vaux valley, locally nicknamed "the little Chalonnaise Switzerland" due to its generous climate, its remote location and its "somewhat apart" status. In a calm and quiet residential hamlet bordering the heart of the charming typical wine-growing village of Saint-Jean-de-Vaux where Burgundy Côte Chalonnaise and Crémant wines are produced (among the 5 villages making up this rich little confidential territory), nestled in the hollow of a delightful valley preserved by greenery and nature. Splendid hilly wine-growing countryside setting, in "balconies", between vineyards, meadows, groves and forests (many walks and hikes on site). Comfortable gîte. Pleasant country character of contemporary inspiration. Zen and gentle atmosphere. Large panoramic terrace, exposed and shaded. Beautiful unobstructed view of the vineyard and the surrounding countryside. Magnificent panorama & landscape. Composition: Detached house adjoining a house rented year-round (belonging to the same owner) with pedestrian access to the cottage via a shared courtyard (parking not allowed in this courtyard). Cottage on the 1st floor. Wifi. Electric heating + wood stove (pellets with manual refill). Living room-kitchen-lounge (double sofa bed "BZ" type 140x190cm). Bedroom (double bed 160x200cm). Shower room (shower). Separate toilet. Balcony-terrace (33m²). Private, closed and secure bicycle storage. Private outdoor parking nearby. Shops 5 km (bakery on site). Le Creusot TGV station 21 km. Country house from the early 20th century, carefully restored, located in a quiet area, on the edge of a vineyard, in a charming wine village typical of the splendid Vaux valley ("Little Chalonnaise Switzerland"). In the heart of the Côte Chalonnaise vineyards, including the famous AOC Mercurey located 5 km away, very close to the Côtes de Beaune & Hautes Côtes de Beaune, at the crossroads of the Côte d'Or department. Ideally located on the wine route & the Romanesque churches circuit (unique heritage in France), 13 km from the A6, 7 km from the greenway & 14 km from the EuroVélo6 route. Prime location for exploring: 15 km from Chalon-sur-Saône (City of Art & History), 20 km from the spa resort of Santenay, 32 km from Beaune, 41 km from Tournus, 42 km from Autun (an unmissable Burgundian city with 2000 years of history!) and 52 km from the famous abbey city of Cluny.
