The Farms of Thinons

Authentic 18th century Burgundian farmhouse steeped in history (formerly linked to the neighboring Château des Thinons) - carefully restored - located on a vast private "natural" property of 3 ha. Quiet, in a charming little family hamlet nestled on a plateau on the southern hillside, on the immediate edge of meadows & forest, in the hollow of a delightful preserved rural circus (the rare privilege of being able to observe wildlife from the gîte!). Enchanting setting. Magnificent green setting overlooking Berzé-le-Châtel, a picturesque peaceful village nestled in a balcony in the heart of the famous vineyards of the Val Lamartinien (Côtes Mâconnaises), home to the imposing medieval fortress of Berzé (10th century), an exceptional heritage jewel of Burgundy which thrones in its center (sumptuous fortified castle among others with fourteen towers, a Carolingian chapel and several "French" & "English" gardens). Spacious cottage of great comfort. Warm country cachet of contemporary spirit with Nordic influences. Very charming. Elegant architectural marriage between modernity and traditions sublimated by a vast "cathedral" lounge with imposing volume (original stone frame and wall). Cocooning & very cozy. Outside, an exposed terrace with lounge adjoins a pleasant garden with garden furniture in the shade of a century-old lime tree. Splendid unobstructed view. Panorama & beautiful landscapes.
