Waterfront Home, Large Property with Pool, Discount for Monthly/Seasonal Rentals

This charming century old Eastern Shore farmhouse is situated on Brooks Creek in the heart of the Chesapeake Bay. It is rendered as a "telescope" house that has 5 bedrooms, sleeps 18 comfortably with 3.5 baths along with an outdoor shower. Every room has waterfront views. We offer a game room, children's playroom, ping pong table, kayaks, canoe and enjoy fishing and crabbing off the pier. You may also "chill" around the in-ground swimming pool.
You can choose to eat your Maryland steamed crabs on the massive stone patio sitting around the fire pit or inside the screened in porch while enjoying gorgeous sunsets.
Excursions include strolling the nearby towns of Cambridge, Easton and St. Michaels and exploring the Black Water Refuge to view the outdoor life in their natural habitat.
Experience the true quiet and serenity of this Eastern Shore destination at Sunset Bay.

Would prefer multiple weeks and seasonal rentals, rates negotiated.During the summer months we only rent Saturday to Saturday.

Weddings can be booked as well.

This house was amazing, had everything we needed. The owner was very responsive to our questions. Our family enjoyed the pool, ping pong table, games and crabbing also the beach on the property. The view and sunsets were beautiful. Would love to vacation here again. Highly recommend!

Beautiful house with large swimming pool. Great dock for boating, fishing, crabbing. Small but kid-friendly beach. Exceptionally well-equipped and well-stocked both in kitchen and outdoors. The zipline was a big hit.

Fantastic Family Retreat

Our extended family had a great week at this family home. This home was very well set up for family actives such as water exploration, swimming, ping pong competitions, soccer on the lawn, zip lining, etc. Our host was very informative, and the house was well-supplied and spotless!

We all had a great time . The kids really enjoyed the pool as did the adults.It was so nice and quiet and we were very lucky to have excellent weather.A couple of small things came up and Michael send someone right over to repair it.We are surely thinking of returning!

Family vacation

We had a great time during our stay for our family vacation! So much to do at the property…kayaking, paddle boating, fishing, zip lining for the kids, swimming, family dinners outside, to name a few. Michael was a great host and very communicative and responsive to messages.

All in all, we had a wonderful week at Sunset Bay. There was plenty of room for our family of 8 one small child. In fact, the property is geared really nicely to children. We really enjoyed the paddleboards and kayaks. We also used the pool every day as the water was really nice & not to cold. The house also had all the supplies we needed. We had a little issue with some standing water on the property thanks to mother nature. Had to contact the host and Michael was very responsive. Created some wonderful family memories & thanks for sharing your home.

Perfect family vacation

The house was just as it was listed!! Our annual family vacation was so much fun here! Plenty of room, very clean, and fully stocked! Peddle boats, kayaks, and pool used daily!! Fire every night!!! Thank you for the wonderful hospitality!!!

Relaxing family getaway

Big, beautiful, comfortable home situated on quiet and relaxing waterfront property. This clean, well-appointed home has all you need to enjoy a laid back and memorable time with your family. All nine of us enjoyed our time at Michael’s home. We swam in the pool, took the kayaks out, went for jogs, and enjoyed the fire out at night.

Perfect family home

This property had it all. The owners thought of everything a family of all ages would enjoy. The owners were quick to answer any questions we had while we visited. The zip line was an extra bonus for kids and adults alike. Would definitely recommend.

Perfect setting for a perfect week

I have to say that this property was perfect for our family. the views were amazing and the owner was on the mark with everything. We were in regular communication with him and he was extremely responsive with all of our needs. I'd give this a 5-star review and highly recommend it to others. It was an amazing time, filled with a lot of memories.

Beautiful home

The home is perfect for families of all ages. Some of us wanted to just relax on the screened in porch reading a book or enjoying the views of the water, the sunsets were incredible! Others were more adventurous and had a blast kayaking, paddle boating and fishing off the dock. We had a brief issue with the air conditioning. The owner was very prompt in handling it and had a repair man there within a couple hours to fix the problem.

Great Place i an amazing location

We stayed here for our annual family trip and had a fantastic time. The house was well-stocked and had everything we needed, including a great selection of watercraft—kayaks, paddle boards, and more—which kept both the kids and adults entertained. The private beach was absolutely beautiful and a highlight of our stay. We typically started our mornings there and then made our way back to the pool in the afternoon, which was just a short walk from the beach.The pool was one of the best we've had in a rental—clean, well-maintained, and serviced twice during our stay. Communication with the owner was excellent throughout the process.The only slightly odd thing was the layout of the upstairs bedrooms. There are four, but you have to walk through two of them to get to the fourth. It wasn’t a problem for us since we were all family, but it’s something to be aware of.The air conditioning worked great on both floors, which made the stay even more comfortable. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would definitely return!Wife wasn't best but who cares and this got the kids outside ! it worked enough !

Overall experience was great. Property was as described and very well equipped. Listing information should be updated to reflect that linens are not provided and to describe the arrangement of the bedrooms to indicate entry into two bedrooms requires you to walk through another bedroom. Host was very responsive to a minor issue upon arrival.

Sunset Bay

Sunset Bay is a very private residence with a beautiful and expansive view of Brooks Creek, which is particularly beautiful at sunset (of course). The large lawn is great for games and frisbee-throwing, and almost as nice to look at as the pretty cedar, pine, oak and maple trees that shade the house. The owners were most generous with their offer of kayaks, paddeboards and other recreational equipment, as well as a "toy corner" for the little ones indoors. We enjoyed meals out on the pleasant screened porch, and made use of the dock for our 17-foot Boston Whaler. We had a wonderful week, and recommend the property to anyone.

Great Waterfront Property

We visited with our family with ages ranging from 5-66. Everyone enjoyed their stay. There were plenty of things to do on the water (kayak, SUP, fish, etc). The pool was a great place to cool off. The house was secluded but close enough to town to pop in for dinner, supplies, etc. We had a blast!

Amazing week. The owners were generous to share the kayaks, paddle boards, paddle boat, etc.

The best vacation! We rented another property on the eastern shore for 20 plus years, so were a little apprehensive about the change. Sunset Bay was just perfect. Can't wait until next summer!

Beautiful home with a variety of Options

The home and property are lovely. Plenty of open space inside and out for our family of 9...6 adults and three children. The kitchen is well equipped and I do believe Michael has thought of just about everything for adults and children(toy room) throughout. The pool is wonderful! It is well maintained as is the property itself. We spent everyday in the pool or on the screened in porch. We are not enthusiastic boat people but kayaks and paddleboards are available. Getting those items into the creek do present a challenge. Make sure you bring bug spray if you spend a lot of time outside. Overall a 5 star rating.

Wonderful Family Vacation

This house had everything we needed for a week long family vacation. There was something for everyone to do. The kids toy area was perfect for the little ones. The kitchen is well stocked and there are plenty of yard and water activities. The host was very responsive.

Wonderful vacation rental for extended family

We recently stayed with a family party of 15 at this wonderful home and had the best time. The kids adored the zip line and crabbing off the dock. Everyone loved kayaking and paddleboarding and of course the pool. There were amenities galore to use at the house like pool floats, life jackets, etc. Our youngest family member enjoyed the kids corner and we played many games provided at the house. The ping pong table was a nice touch. We had to get a little creative with sleeping arrangements amongst the rooms that connected to each other and food storage but overall it wasn’t a big deal. Even with so many people, we always had enough bathrooms, showers and hot water. Provided extra pool towels were a great help with how often we used the pool during a very hot week. The AC worked amazing despite how incredibly hot it was outside. We wished we owned a boat to be able to better explore the creek/Choptank River. The beach area was very swampy and wasn’t really usable due to washed up sea grass but that is no fault of the owner, just nature. The home is quite a bit away from town but that is part of it’s charm. Sunsets were to die for out in the back yard or from the screened in porch. Be sure to bring bug spray in the summer. This area has a thriving animal and insect population as it’s really unspoiled nature. We saw turtles, frogs, crabs, skinks, etc. We would recommend this property to other families.

We will be back!!

This home was beautiful, inviting, homey and perfect for our family of 16. We didn't leave the whole week! We enjoyed sitting under a tree reading, swimming in the pool, paddleboarding, listening to the grandchildrens laughter as they played in sand, ziplined, caught crabs, played ping pong, and used their imaginations. The home was spotless when we got there and had everything we needed. We would highly recommend this property!
