The Ubac your home with quiet garden perched in Théus

In the Hautes Alpes, discover the small village of Théus, 20 km from Gap, perched between the young ladies and the Mont Colombis.

You will have the privilege of staying in one of the oldest rustic houses in the village for lovers of nature and peace.

The house consists of a large living room with a seating area, a cozy space to enjoy at sunset and a dining room with a wood stove.
It is up to you to choose according to the weather if you prefer to eat outside or inside.
Upstairs the three bedrooms are in a row, it is possible to partition them with curtains.
In summer, after the hike, you can also use our inflatable canoe kayak to sail on the three lakes or on Serre-Ponçon lake.

Activities:
- In winter, family ski resorts: 30 minutes from the house the small resort of MONTCLAR. 40 minutes from GAP BAYARD (Nordic skiing and Golf), 1 hour from the ski resort of RISOUL, RÉALLON... Great opportunities to climb some snowy peaks with panoramic views,
- In summer; beaches, swimming, water sports, whitewater sports, rafting, canoeing, fishing, horseback riding, hiking, mountain biking (https://www.e-pedal.fr), cycle touring, paragliding, delta... & in winter; Snowshoeing, skiing, Nordic skiing, snowboarding...

Two weeks in Theus

The house is part of a small village (170 inhabitants), situated on a mountain. Inside the village, the roads are small and steep, so one has to take that in consideration. If you drive a big car, it can get difficult to get close to the house. The house itself is a characteristic French house, cool inside when its warm outside so thats nice. A kitchen and bathroom which are well equipped (micro-wave, dishwasher, laundry-machine) so that was pleasurable. The 3 bedrooms are door-to-door, so tats something to kepp in mind. To get to the last, you have to go through the first 2. Beds were fine by the way. The garden was nice, well-shaded untill around 2 pm and it has 2 terasses; one with clothes-lines for laundry and one with some chairs for a morning-coffee with a great view. Downpoint for us was that most of the silverware, pots/pans, dishes etc were not realy clean. Perhaps due to the fact that we were the first to live in the house for a long time. This seen the spiderwebs here and there as well. Overall, we had a realy good stay in this house and if we were to go back to this part of France, we certainly would consider renting this house again.

Logement rustique avec beaucoup de charme et bien équipé. Nous avons apprécié son emplacement notamment pour son calme et pour le vue dépaysante. Voisinage très accueillant. Village sympathique pour des vacances en famille.

Nous en avons pris plein la vue, quelle superbe région avec une variété impressionnante de décors! La montagne, le lac ("la mer à la montagne"), les randonnées, le chateau de Tallard et son ambiance médiévale... C'est une chance de séjourner dans cette maison de Theus, pleine de cachet, bien rénovée et à l'abri de toute agitation touristique (même au mois d'août). La décoration, le côté pratique (maison très bien équipée), le calme, tout y est ! Et le restaurant au pied du village, "Le balcon de Theus", a réjouit nos papilles et nous a rappelé combien il est important de prendre le temps de Vivre :-) Merci aux propriétaires qui nous ont paru bien sympathiques et nous reviendrons, c'est sur :-)

Het contact met de eigenaren liep goed, ze waren behulpzaam.Het huis is authentiek. De slaapkamers zijn opgeknapt en prima. Jammer dat er geen horren voor de ramen zitten. Daar hadden we gelukkig al rekening mee gehouden.De badkamer is prima. Je moet echter wel in bad douchen. Daarom hebben we snel een badmat gekocht. De wasmachine was handig.De keuken voldoet, is prima uitgerust maar de gootsteen ruikt af en toe. De afvoer van het huis heeft wat moeite met bv tegelijk douchen en de vaatwasser gebruiken. Dan loopt het water wat minder snel weg.Voor de hele benedenruimte geldt wel dat er vrij veel spullen staan. Wat ons betreft zou minder beter zijn zodat er wat meer ruimte ontstaat.Er waren wel vrij veel insecten. We hebben in drie weken tijd o.a. zeker 20 sprinkhanen en 3 schorpioenen gevangen in huis. Weliswaar hoort dat een beetje bij dergelijke huizen maar voor een deel is er ook wat aan te doen. Het heeft ons verblijf niet echt negatief beïnvloed, het is meer dat je er wel alert op moet zijn.Er is buiten een niet betegeld terras. Hier kun je hoogzomer prima in de ochtend en in de loop van de avond zitten. Vanaf begin middag tot begin avond is dit bij zon echt te heet. We planden onze uitjes dus ook vooral in de middag.Het klopt dat het in het dorp erg smal rijden is maar als je rustig aan doet, paar stukjes minder dan stapvoets, kan het prima. Wij lieten de auto wel bij de parkeerplaats bij het restaurant staan.Al met al hebben we een prima verblijf gehad.

Une maison atypique redécorée , avec une belle vue Calme comme maître mot

La maison a tout ce qu'il faut pour un bon séjour, Elle est joliment redécorée Un beau petit jardin , une belle vue Petit bémol une des chambres est ouverte comme une mezzanine, (peut être qu'un rideau serait pratique) Les deux autres sont en enfilades comme précisées mais très spacieuses. le village est charmant , un peu difficile de circuler mais on trouve vite ses habitudes. Le village permet d'aller rapidement partout en voiture ou à pied des lieux de baignade et des belles randos ) Supermarché à proximité

Village authentique

Une maison authentique et pleine de charme dans un petit village au flanc du montagne. Une belle vue du jardin et un calme absolu. Quelques ballades au pied de la maison et un lac au pied de la montagne pour se rafraichir. Nous avons passé un moment très agréable et apaisant à Theus.

Séjour au cale dans un village perché

Nous avons passé 2 très agréables semaines avec nos ados dans ce charmant gîte très bien aménagé dans ce petit village perché. Le petit plus, un chouette extérieur avec une très belle vue.

Belle découverte de ce village perché

Gîte fonctionnel, situé dans un village pittoresque perché dans les montagnes. Emplacement parfait pour profiter du lac de Serre Poncon, de la base de loisirs des 3 lacs, point de départ d'une jolie randonnée vers les demoiselles coiffées....et tant d'autres choses à découvrir dans les environs. Le kayak gonflable mis à disposition à été un bonus pour nos ados ! Vacances réussies !

Village perché

Une location un peu atypique, avec cette maison biscornue tout en hauteur et difficile d'accès (au moins la 1ère fois). Bien au calme. Très belle vue et bien située pour de belles randonnées le matin suivies de baignades au lac l'après-midi.

un excellent séjour

Une très jolie maison surprenante et attachante adossée à la montagne avec une vue très agréable depuis le "jardin -terrasse". Un patrimoine riche de découvertes et d'activités autour de Théus. Séjour dans un cadre paisible et "ressourçant".

Séjour à Théus

Une location qui a parfaitement répondu à nos attentes et en particulier une très belle vue sur les montagnes. Nous avons été bien accueillis par Anne-Laure qui avait préparé de la documentation concernant les activités proposées dans la région. La maison est ancienne et donc rustique mais bien aménagée et agréable.

Calme absolu

Correspond parfaitement à ce que nous cherchions. Authentique et hyper calme. Attention toutefois pour la circulation avec de gros véhicules : notre monospace a eu du mal à se faufiler partout (village de montagne).
