Lake Talquin lakefront home with large covered porch. You'll love the boathouse with 2 boat bays available, a sunroom room, sink and fish cleaning station. Open living area, kitchen with bar, dining room - great room, sun room, comfortable leather seating, and an amazing lakeview.This 3BR/2BA lake retreat is literally steps from the lake. Bring your boat , or fish directly from the dock. The perfect lake retreat. Public boat ramp less than a quarter of a mile down the road. Enjoy Wifi, Netflix, and Roku. 19 miles from FSU stadium. Please note: There is a 3rd larger boat slip occupied by a pontoon boat which can be moved for 7 day or more stays for a fee of $100. No air boats due to noise ordinance.

• Vacation Use Only: This stay is for short‑term vacation purposes. It does not create tenant rights under Florida law.
• Check‑Out is Firm: You must vacate by the agreed check‑out date and time. Staying beyond this period is unlawful trespass.
• No Squatting: Guests waive any claim to residency or tenancy regardless of length of stay.
• Owner Access: Owner may enter the property at any time without notice for inspection, maintenance, or emergencies.
• Immediate Termination: Owner may end your stay immediately if house rules are violated, illegal activity occurs, or safety is at risk.
• Occupancy Limits: Only registered guests may stay overnight. No subletting or unauthorized visitors.
• Respect Property: Damages, theft, or violations may result in charges against your security deposit and removal.
• Indemnification: Guests are responsible for their actions and agree to hold Owner harmless from any claims or liabilities.

Graduation weekend getaway.

The house was perfect for our graduation weekend. A great place to get away from town and relax, without being too far from Tallahassee. Wish we had more time ...and a boat!

Sweet spot for FSU football weekend

Kim's place is comfortable, clean and plenty of space to chill out and relax. It is rustic as described and fully lived up to its pictures.

Great stay

The location and the views from the back of the house were great. And we loved the dock. The house was clean and as described, and the couch and chairs were very comfortable. We will stay again here next year when we visit the area!

Lake talquin vacation

We stayed and fished for 5 days. First time fishing this lake. Caught a whole bunch of fish. We had a really good time.

Fisherman’s Dream

This location is the perfect spot for a fisherman’s treat! The home is great, easy to dock your boat and really good fishing! We caught two nice size bass approximately 50 feet from the dock while on the boat. Check in/out is a breeze and Kim is very responsive to texts. 10/10 recommend!

Perfect FSU Football Weekend Stay

We had the best time at this Fisherman’s paradise for our long FSU weekend. The cabin was immaculately clean and so cozy. Inside there was a great amount of space for a family of five to enjoy family time, without being on top of each other. The dock was great for fishing. My son caught a fish and it made his weekend. We even saw some impressive wildlife! The cabin was 30 minutes away from the stadium, literally right up the highway, so we got to enjoy the campus and the late night game and then come back to our rustic paradise. Our hosts were so responsive and made everything easy for us. Such a great experience. Highly recommend.

Family Weekend at FSU

This property was a little far to go back and forth from FSU but it was ok. Kim was very responsive so we appreciated that. She adjusted the air conditioning for us at night since it was warm to sleep. The motion lights did not come on in the evening so we had to make sure it was ok to let the lights on at night. Especially since you have to walk around to the back of the house to get in. I think someone just turned them off since the instructions say to turn all lights off upon leaving. Everything is older in the home but we had everything we needed for three nights. I did find it difficult to get ready in the bathroom since there is no space to put toiletries or make-up. We didn't sit on the dock as everything outside could use a good cleaning. We appreciated Kim renting to us since all hotels close to FSU were sold out or extremely outrageous in price.

We relaxed in this quiet, clean little house. The dock is spacious and affords room to relax and fish. Overall we had a blast and will be back!

Lovely Lake House

Our family had a wonderful stay at the Lake Talquin home. Perfect spot to unwind and enjoy quality family time on the water. Our nephew said, “can we come back for my birthday?!”

The dock entices you to go and try your luck.

The lure of the water cannot be denied. It is beautiful to look and just see the lake and all the trees. The neighbors were good in that you didn't know they were there. The house was clean inside which is something I appreciate. The kitchen is well supplied. It was funny in one instance. We would hear big bangs on the back porch. When we looked, there was nothing there! Finally we realized it was the big nuts falling from the trees. Thank you for sharing your home.

House on lake Talquin

We had a good time. The house is comfortable. Our stay over the Christmas holiday was enjoyable even thought the outside temperature was the coldest in 30 years. After we contacted the owner she increased the temperature setting inside the house and we were comfortable. The views of the lake are pretty!

2022 Thanksgiving Dinner & FSU vs. UF Football game - our daughter is a Junior at FSU

The house is nicer than the pictures present. Very clean, lovely lake house decorations. Great kitchen to make Thanksgiving dinner. Enjoyed coffee on back patio looking over beautiful lake. Easy access to boat ramp to get in water and close to house, very nice boat doc. Felt like we were in Georgia, so pretty and relaxing. Would definitely love to go back.

Peaceful getaway

This lake house is adorable and comfortable. Our stay was restful and relaxing. The water and wildlife are beautiful! The fishing is enjoyable. We had to go into the city for graduation, but would rather have stayed at the house just watching the birds and animals!
