The home is beautiful. However there was an infestation of fruit flies and they were in every room, especially numerous in rooms with a drain. The couches were stained. Check in is at 4pm and we arrived 45 minutes later. We notified the property manager of the infestation. Instead of addressing the problem, the property manager reprimanded us for checking in early. I advised her of the time in Michigan. She then stated she was in Texas in a different time zone. I received a notification from the owner and he stated the cleaners left traps to kill the bugs and they should be gone in 24 hours. He stated the flies were normal at this time of year. The cleaning person returned the next day to clean the areas, especially where the dead flies were. They also changed the slip covers on the couch. The flies were with us the entire vacation but less in number. I understand fruit flies and bugs in Michigan but this was not normal or acceptable in a home in this area.

We love this home! This is the second time we’ve stayed there. It’s such a comfortable place. Every evening we spent on the beach, watching the sun set. The area is so nice with all kinds of things to do. We enjoyed a few state parks and also spent an evening at Pond Hill Farms. For the second time, the whole experience was just great!

Great spot on the water

Clean, comfortable, and a perfect spot on Lake Michigan. Enjoyed the many local biking and walking trails, rock hunting, and a morning coffee with the lake sounds on the porch.
