Huge open floor plan, Upstairs - Large Kitchen and Bar with 4 Bedrooms, 3 full Baths, 3 large dens with TV's, 100 gallons hot water, laundry room with washer and dryer. Covered upstairs deck.
Downstairs - Large open sunroom with bar, separate kitchen, half bath, TV and dining. Great for entertaining. No need to go Upstairs. Screened back porch with swings and outdoor kitchen, back down boat launch. Covered fish cleaning station / boiling area with table.
Handicap ramp & lift.
The home is 30 minutes away from New Orleans for sight seeing, dining & nightlife. It is 45 minutes to an hour from Venice for all you big fishermen. There are several Boat Charter companies in the area.

Fisherman’s Paradise

Had a fabulous time as always! Love coming here… it’s extremely accommodating for our family and it was “fish on” the entire time we were there! The owners are excellent to work with. We’ll be back soon :)

Awesome Experience

This is an Awesome spot for a Family Vacation. One hour from New Orleans, away from the Hustle and Bustle. The neighborhood is very quiet. Check in and out was very easy. Beautifully decorated and maintained home. The owners have thought of everything to make your stay nothing less than Great!

Great location & AMAZING HOME

Couldn’t have asked for more! The house had everything we could ever need and being on the water is a great bonus. We didn’t catch many fish but that had nothing to do with the home or location, just bad luck.

Another Awesome Trip!

We’ve stayed at this camp several times and it never disappoints. We love coming here because it’s absolutely beautiful! It’s comfortable for our large family and has everything we need. We love that we can launch our boat on the property and dock it behind the camp. The owners are excellent to work with. We appreciate them sharing their camp …. Many wonderful family memories have been made!

Fish camp 2022

Had a great time using this house as our fish camp. Everything was very clean and had all the amenities you could ask for. Pam and Darryl were east to get a hold of and answered all our questions. Next time we find ourselves in Venice fishing we will be using this house!

Fish and crab right off your dock and close to woodland plantation to have dinner !!!

We want to thank the owners for opening their camp to our family . It was so cozy and super clean . We loved the lift and screened in porch with kitchen downstairs . The dock was also easy for crabbing and huge area to eat and enjoy the sunset . It was so nice we had a private dock to our selves and last a fish cleaning station was so nice for cleaning our fish . We will be back in the fall for sure . This is a more then a 5 star rating .

The best place ever !!!!

This was our second time staying and we had 11 teenage boys. We enjoyed it so much the first time the previous year that we had to come back. There’s so much room in the place it’s rediculous !!! I was able to use the boat launch they have right on side the camp this year because the tide was high. The boys and us had a blast. Id love to own and live in this location and the owners are so nice !!!!! Thanks Darryl and Pam you guys are the best !!!

Great Fishing Trip

Everything you could ever need. It was like staying at your best friend's place. Not typical rental where you have miss matched dishes missing silverware. Every cooking accessary you could need was there. Layout was a little odd at first, but it worked perfectly for our group of 10. Can't say enough about the owners. Fantastic people it was a pleasure to meet them. Responded quickly to any questions and were always glad to help make our stay better. Could not ask for a better setup for fishing. We had two boats a 17ft and 19ft, lots of dock space and an on site launch. Hope to go back soon.

Amenities and space galore

This waterfront home is fantastic. It is one of the very best VRBO rentals I have ever stayed. There are 3 separate living room spaces with large screen TVs all located upstairs. In addition, there is a large totally enclosed entertaining space downstairs with a separate /2nd kitchen and bathroom. Party people can enjoy a good time into the late night, while the non-party peeps can be upstairs watching a movie or catching some Z's. The house is supplied with all the kitchen supplies/utensils/dishes/small gadgets, including seafood boiling pots and burners/filled propane tanks/2 grills. We enjoyed the upstairs covered patio to view the beautiful sunsets, and also the screened in porch and porch swings. We took our boats out and fished every day, and we cleaned the catch at the awesome fish cleaning station. The owners were very responsive and answered all my questions (I had quite a few questions). They allowed us to check-in earlier than 3pm since the place was vacant, which made it super convenient for us to launch boats earlier and get on the water to fish. They also responded quickly and came out to take a look at the elevator/lift when I called about an issue with it. I highly recommend this home, especially for larger groups. One word of caution for anyone launching boats at the camp/house; the canal to the main Wilkerson canal is a little shallow - go slow. We were in a 20' foot semi v-hull. A front came through while we were there and the winds from the north pushed a ton of water out of that canal. We weren't sure we would be able to trailer the 2 boats we had with us, but the guys with us used some ingenuity and got it done. Thank you Pam and Darryl. I sure hope we can plan another trip to Woodpark Retreat. Rhonda & Friends & Family

Bayou heaven

This place was perfect. We didn't want to stay in New Oleans city limits. This was close enough to visit whenever we wanted, but far enough to feel secluded. The home was beautiful inside and out.

What a wonderful OASIS in SE LA!

We had the most incredible time at Pam and Darryl's camp! It was absolutely beautiful (almost palatial) inside, very comfortable, and had so many amenities and comforts. We were doing work on the local marshes with our boats, so having a house with a boat launch and dock was extremely convenient. It really was an oasis to return to at the end of the day! My favorite was the upstairs porch with view of the marsh, and downstairs screened in porch with swings and beautiful view of the sunset! Absolutely would return in a heartbeat!!

Had another great trip! Fishing was spot on! Great place to relax and enjoy family time. Very comfortable accommodations and the owners are easy to communicate with. Highly recommend this property!

Beautiful family getaway

Beautiful Home. Very comforting and spacious. Had everything our family needed to enjoy the stay. Owners were wonderful and the neighbors were very friendly and helpful. Definitely renting this property if they offer it.

Awesome Getaway!

We moved away from the area several years ago but come back as much as we can to fish. We were blessed to find this gem on VRBO. It was absolutely perfect for our family. The owners are kind and very easy to work with. We had a fabulous time and will definitely be back!
