This upper-level suite demands a bit of an adventurous spirit, as you will need to conquer a full flight of stairs to access your cozy retreat.

Once inside, you'll find a kitchen complete with all the essentials to assist you in creating your favorite culinary delights.

An addition of warmth and ambiance comes in the form of a gas fireplace, providing the perfect setting to unwind after a day of exploration.

Strategically located, the lodge gives you easy access to a variety of local attractions. Restaurants, the Village Theater, quaint coffee shops, and unique boutique shops are merely a stone's throw away.

For last-minute needs, a convenience store is just steps away, and the beautiful Big Bear Lake is within walking distance, promising a wealth of water-based fun.

When it's time to retire for the night, the suite offers a tranquil bedroom equipped with a cozy queen bed, and an ensuite bathroom for your convenience.

In the living room, you'll find a day bed with a twin trundle for additional sleeping space.

While central air conditioning is absent (does have a portable AC), nature compensates with its own cooling system - the fresh mountain air.

Parking
On-site parking at the property accommodates one vehicle.

According to city ordinance:
- Street parking directly in front of the lodge is permitted.
- However, during snowy conditions, you cannot park on the street.
- It's imperative to avoid leaving vehicles parked, stopped, abandoned, or unattended on any city street.
- There is a large Free Parking area located off of Bartlett, between Beaver Lane & Village Drive if you need additional parking.

** Bear Suites Village Inn Rules **

Welcome to the rules for Bear Suites Village Inn - American Black Bear Suite. Our aim is to maintain a harmonious environment that aligns with local Code Compliance and respects the comfort of all guests. As part of this effort, we've established some friendly but firm and inflexible house guidelines.

1. Maximum Occupancy: 4 guests (4 adults max).

2. Parking: Space for 1 vehicle. Exceeding the limit may result in fines of up to $1,000.

3. Pets: Pets Allowed (Max: 2 pets).
- Pets require pre-approval: Post-approval, a $20 fee per pet applies (charged post-booking).
- Unapproved Pets: incur a minimum of a $1,000 fine.
- Pet Guidelines:
** Kennel pets when unattended.
** Keep off furniture/beds.
** Clean up after them.
** Charges apply for pet damages.
*** Coyote Warning: *** Coyotes are extremely prevalent in Big Bear, even in the most densely populated areas. If you see one, you can bet they're part of an unseen pack. These animals are bold and territorial. They pose a significant threat to pets. For their safety, never leave your pets unattended, even in fenced areas, especially after dark. Coyotes are known for their ability to overcome barriers, including high fences. And they're even known for attacking pets that are on a leash. We cannot overstate the need for heightened vigilance concerning your pets' safety.

4. Check-In: ID verification is required for check-in.

5. Noise: Quiet hours from 9 pm to 8 am. You are not allowed to be outside, in a hot tub, play music or create any noise from inside of the residence that could be heard outside of the home. If these rules are violated, Code Enforcement could impose fines of up to $1,000 or eviction. (We have no control over Code Enforcement's decisions.)

6. Air Conditioning: NO Central AC. This room has a portable AC unit

7. Ants: Sometimes our ants can be a bit over-friendly. To keep these small visitors at bay, we suggest promptly cleaning up right after each meal and don't leave food out. (We do use ant bait & ant traps… and the ants tend to look at those as snacks.)

8. Trash: You are mandated by ordinance to dispose of your trash at the designated trash site. If you require assistance, we can arrange a pick-up service for a nominal fee.

9. Video Surveillance & Noise Monitors: We employ external video surveillance and noise monitors at most of our properties. (We do not have video or audio monitoring inside of the residences.)

10. No Smoking/Vaping: We have a very strict No Smoking and/ or No Vaping policy on the grounds of all of our properties.
* If any guest smokes or vapes on the premises during their stay, a minimum cleaning fee of $750 will be charged automatically to the Credit Card on file to cover the cost of carpets cleaning, dry cleaning of all bedspreads, curtains, etc. And the security deposit will be forfeited.

11. Age: Minimum booking age is 18.

12. Parties: No parties allowed; parties will result in immediate eviction and forfeiture of the security deposit. Additional cleaning fees may apply.

13. Communication: For questions or concerns, we're available via phone or email.

* Note: Code Enforcement enforces all of the ordinances in Big Bear Lake. We have no control over the decisions they make, up to and including fines and evictions.

* Note: Any eviction will result in the loss of your security deposit and you will not be entitled to a refund.

Perfect location

This was the perfect place to stay for a weekend getaway. The place was cozy, spacious, and had everything needed. Best of all, it was right in the middle of all the action downtown, so coffee, dinner, and shops were all footsteps away. Despite it being located downtown, it was still quiet inside.

Great Location!

We had a great visit. The location is great for walking to dinner. It’s right in the village and was still quiet. An AC was provided which was nice since it was a little warm out. It’s a bit rustic, but that is to be expected when visiting the mountains.

This apartment was such an amazing find. Great location, spacious, easy check-in/check-out, convenient onsite parking, easy communication with rental company. Definitely saving this to book again for future big bear trips!

Perfect little place in Big Bear

I chose this place because of its location and price. After staying here, I would bet it is one of the best vrbo values in Big Bear. There are 19 steps in the staircase, so make sure you can manage that prior to booking. If that isn't an issue I highly recommend this property.

Great place to stay!

We loved this place. The property manager responded quickly. The check in process was easy and smooth. Location was perfect in the village with shops and restaurants right outside your door. The rooms were clean and even though you are on the main street in the village it was quiet in the room. Enjoyed having a kitchen and cooking utensils. Note for people coming is that yes, the kitchen is fully functional but you do need to bring your own spices, condiments, foil, etc. Not a knock on the property at all just giving people a heads up if that was a question. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would 100% recommend.

Convenient, clean location

This was a fantastic place to stay! It was clean and roomy. Checking in and out was fast and easy. The only concern would be that the kitchen only has the bare basics, so plan to bring your own things (spices, tools, etc) if you plan to do much cooking. This is not a problem for me as I was there quite briefly and ate dinner at Saucy Mamas next-door (Delicious!!) The location was super convenient, and it was nice to have parking right there.
